I responded to [200 BLOCK] Ivey Dr Apartment [REDACTED] in reference to a physical altercation.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim, [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus Mitchell strangled her. [VICTIM #1] stated she left her residence to drop her child off at school, and when she returned, Zacchaeus was waiting for her in the apartment complex parking lot. [VICTIM #1] stated she told Zacchaeus to leave. Zacchaeus had been trespassed from the property on 08/20/2025 by Deputy Henderson. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus stepped out of his truck and approached her while she was standing by her door. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus grabbed her and pulled her close to him. [VICTIM #1] stated she repeatedly demanded for Zacchaeus to stop grabbing her. [VICTIM #1] stated that Zacchaeus let her go, and she walked to her car and sat in the driver’s seat with the door open. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus reached into her car and attempted to strangle her with two hands around her neck.

I observed marks on [VICTIM #1]’s neck consistent with her having been strangled. [VICTIM #1] stated she got away from Zacchaeus and went to her apartment door. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus pushed his way into the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus started touching her inappropriately and without her consent. [VICTIM #1] stated she told Zacchaeus to stop and he eventually did. [VICTIM #1] stated Zacchaeus walked out of her home and left the location.

Zacchaeus’ tag number was entered into the Flock Safety camera system and he was located inside Putnam County. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop and arrested Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was transported to the Putnam County Jail and a hold was placed on him for charges stemming from this incident. I later arrived at the Putnam County Jail to pick up Zacchaeus. I transported Zacchaeus to the Baldwin County Jail and turned him over to jail staff without incident.

Photographs of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries and Ring door bell footage were taken and uploaded to evidence via Axon capture.

Warrants were sworn against Zacchaeus Mitchell for aggravated assault – strangulation, simple battery and criminal trespass.
