On January 21, 2026, Deputy Schuster, along with other Banks County deputies, responded to Dusty Creek Lane, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a domestic dispute in progress. An investigation was conducted and an arrest was made. Warrants to be obtained.
While deputies were en-route to the residence, Banks County Dispatch informed us that a juvenile was calling and stated his mother and her boyfriend were currently arguing upstairs and he had witnessed his mother’s boyfriend put his hands around his mother’s throat.
On scene, deputies made contact with the juvenile caller, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], his brother, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the mother and boyfriend, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Jessie Turner. All parties were separated to determine what had occurred.
When I arrived on scene, Deputy Lunsford was speaking with Jessie, Corporal (Cpl.) Craymer was speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Captain (Capt.) Arnold was speaking with the juveniles.
I first made contact with Jessie and Deputy Lunsford. Jessie stated he and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had gotten into a verbal argument as they were driving down the road and when they returned to the house, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] kids heard them arguing, got scared due to a past abusive situation and called law enforcement.
Jessie stated the two never became physical, only verbal. Jessie stated he and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] have been together for two years and are currently engaged to get married. Jessie stated the argument they got into stemmed from stress about money.
While speaking with Jessie, the other deputies on scene had already gather information about the incident from the other parties and determined Jessie was going to be placed under arrest. Jessie was handcuffed and the handcuffs were checked for fit and double locked. Jessie was then searched incident to arrest and placed into the rear of Deputy Lunsford’s patrol car.
During the entire interaction with Jessie, I observed him to be highly agitated and sweating profusely even though it was around 40 degrees outside. When Jessie was placed into Deputy Lunsford’s patrol car, he began to yell loudly towards [REDACTED BY AGENCY] even with the doors closed, and was hitting his body against the windows and partition.
It was confirmed by [REDACTED BY AGENCY] that Jessie is currently on probation and in recovery for past substance abuse. All deputies on scene believed Jessie to be under the influence of something. Due to Jessie’s state, I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if she believed Jessie to be under the influence of anything. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she did not know and if he was, he was hiding it from her.
Due to Jessie’s agitated state, Cpl. Craymer transported Jessie in Deputy Lunsford’s patrol car to the Banks County Jail as Deputy Lunsford was still assisting me in collecting information. Jessie was transported to the jail and turned over to jail staff without further incident.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she and Jessie had spent the day together, going to see his aunt in Cumming, and then returned home. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated while on the way home, Jessie became agitated due to cigarettes breaking and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] wanting to get home to her sons.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the argument continued throughout the duration of their drive and, when they got home, they walked into the house and Jessie said something under his breath about her kids. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she did raise her voice towards him due to this.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Jessie was at the top of the stairs and he came back down to where she was on the stairs and pushed his body up against her and held her there. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she does not recall much of the incident due to blacking out from nervousness.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was advised of what her son’s were telling us and she stated that if that is what they saw, then that is what happened. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did have red in color marks on both sides of her neck and her chest that are consistent with someone placing their hands there and squeezing.
Both juveniles that were on scene and witnessed the incident were spoken with. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] 16 year old son, stated he was playing video games in the living room when he heard his mom and Jessie arguing.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he heard what he believed to be his mom falling and then running up the stairs so he got up to go see what was going on and get them to stop. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated when he got to the bottom of the stairs, he saw Jessie with both hands around [REDACTED BY AGENCY] neck. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he continued to try and get in between his mom and Jessie.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] thirteen year old son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he was in his room playing video games when he heard some sort of crashing sound and believed it to be his mom tripping on the stairs. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he then heard arguing between his mom and Jessie.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he walked out of his room and saw Jessie and his mom on the staircase of the residence and Jessie had both of his hands around [REDACTED BY AGENCY] throat. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that is when his brother, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] jumped in and split them up.
The neighbor, [WITNESS #1] [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who lives at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Dusty Creek Lane, stated he heard [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Jessie arguing. [WITNESS #1] stated he heard, what he described, as Jessie grabbing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and dragging her down the stairs and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] screaming as if she needs help. [WITNESS #1] stated this is not the first time he has heard something like this occur.
I did advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] of the TPO process and other options she has moving forward however, due to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] current job and past, she is familiar with everything. Deputy Lunsford did photograph [REDACTED BY AGENCY] neck utilizing the Axon Capture App and uploaded all photos to Evidence.com.
