On 09-05-2025, Deputy Forrester responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Hembree Rd in regards to a hit and run that occurred on McDonald Circle near Highway 441. On Deputy Forrester’s arrival he spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (driver 2). [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated around 0730 hours she was traveling on McDonald Circle near Highway 441 when traffic came to a stop. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated a car upfront had broken down in the roadway. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the car in front of her backed up hitting her vehicle. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she attempted stopping driver 1 after the accident. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated driver 1 took off. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she then followed driver 1 and got the registration number [REDACTED BY AGENCY]
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she then took her kids to school and returned home where she called 911. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the subject in the broken-down vehicle witnessed the accident occur. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the vehicle that hit her was a white passenger car with student driver on the back. Deputy Forrester looked the vehicle registration up on Flock where he confirmed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] description.
Deputy Forrester then contacted the witness, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she saw the white passenger car back up. She advised she did not know an accident had occurred until [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised her the white vehicle had backed into her vehicle. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated the white passenger car took off where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had to follow it to get the registration number.
Deputy Forrester then responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Beck Fram Rd where the offender’s vehicle returned too. Deputy Forrester spoke with multiple parties at this location who advised Thi Vu was driving the white yolks Wagon [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. They advised Thi was currently at the head start school eating breakfast with her child. Deputy Forrester advised he needed to speak with her. One of the parties on scene advised Thi did not speak any English. Contact was made with Thi via phone call. Thi admitted to driving on McDonald Circle and backing up near driver 2. Thi advised she was unsure if she had hit driver 2 or not. Deputy Forrester advised Thi she would be charged with hit and run for not checking on the other driver or reporting the accident (translation was given by a party on scene).
On 09-05-2025 around 1005 hours Thi responded to the Banks County Sheriff’s Office and turned herself in. Deputy Forrester placed Thi under arrest for hit and run. Thi was searched incident to arrest and was then turned over to jail personnel. Axon Camera was worn. Citation was issued for hit and run. An accident report was also completed for this incident.
