[NARRATIVE #3 on May 30, 2026]

On May 30, 2026 I, Cpl. Barber, responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Thomas Ln in reference to a warrant service.

I received information that Zachary Claunch was spotted at the Petro truck stop in Carnesville several days ago. I then advised Franklin County Deputies. Franklin County later called me and stated they had an address where Zach was staying.

We arrived on scene and knocked on the camper door, but couldn’t get anyone to the door. Franklin County then made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] the owner of the camper, who advised he was broken down on the side of the road on Hwy 63 near Bennett Rd. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told deputies over the phone he had not seen Zach in several weeks. I then responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] location to confirm that Zach was not with him. While talking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] it was learned that Zach was in fact hiding in the camper. I then gave [REDACTED BY AGENCY] a courtesy ride back to his camper so he could get Zach to come out peacefully.

After arriving back on scene at the camper, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went inside and got Zach to come out with his hands up. Zach was placed into handcuffs that were checked for fit and double locked. Zach was then seat belted into the rear of my vehicle and transported to the Banks County Jail without incident. The back seat of my vehicle was searched before and after Zach’s transport.
