On November 23, 2025, at approximately 1721 hours, I was notified by an anonymous complainant that a subject, known as Ashlyn Jackson, was inside the Dollar General store in Statham, GA actively cutting herself. I advised dispatch and responded with my emergency lights and siren activated. Due regard was used.
Upon arrival, a Dollar General worker noticed me and asked if I was looking for Ashlyn. I stated yes and she advised that Ashlyn had just left the store heading Eastbound on Atlanta Highway. I went to look for her and found her at the Waffle House intersection at Jefferson St. and Atlanta Hwy.
I got out of my vehicle and asked Ashlyn what she was doing. She advised she was not doing anything wrong. I then asked if she had anything on her I needed to know about. She stated that she had a box cutter in her pocket. I carefully removed the box cutter from her pocket and she began to yell profanities towards the Dollar General area. She started screaming things like “You all are some fu*king snitches” “fu*k you all, fu*k you guys” and “these are some fu*k a*s marks on me” when I asked her to show me her arms. She continued to use profanity and was constantly yelling. She was then detained in handcuffs while EMS checked her out for her injuries.
After being checked for her injuries, Ashlyn showed Officers where the extra blades were in her bookbag. I advised Ms. Jackson that due to the vulgar language in a busy and crowded area where there were multiple children around, she was going to be placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. I notified the jail of her injuries and she was taken for a jail clearance and transported by Officer Hambrick.
I then returned to service without incident. Warrants to be taken on this date for Disorderly Conduct.
[End of Narrative]
