[NARRATIVE #1 On September 05, 2025]
On September 5, 2025, at approximately 1030 hours, Inv. Myers responded to the UPD Lobby (233 E Broad St) in reference to a Forgery.
Inv. Myers spoke to the complainant, [VICTIM #1], who stated that he had lost his check book sometime during the last week. [VICTIM #1] stated that he believed that the checkbook fell out of his truck when he went to Walmart, but he had also been to Tractor Supply the same day. [VICTIM #1] stated that he had received a notice from his bank, which stated that his account had over drafted. [VICTIM #1] stated that he was confused because he had not recently made any large purchases. [VICTIM #1] stated that he went to his bank, South State Bank, and asked for the documentation for the overdraft. [VICTIM #1] was provided with a photo of a check, which had been signed by him, and was used to make a purchase at Noroly’s Motorsports in Winder. [VICTIM #1] provided a copy of the check, which will be attached to this case file.
Inv. Myers asked [VICTIM #1] if he had been anywhere else on the date that his checkbook was lost and he stated that he had not. [VICTIM #1] stated that he had never heard of the location which the check had been written to either. [VICTIM #1] further explained that several of the checks in his checkbook had been pre-signed, so that they were more readily available for his use. Inv. Myers provided [VICTIM #1] with a case card and explained how to obtain a copy of the report.
Inv. Myers followed up at Noroly’s Motorsports (136 E Midland Ave #26) and spoke with the owner of the shop, [WITNESS #1]. The business is a mechanics shop and repairs vehicles. Inv. Myers asked if the business had recently received a check which matched the description provided by [VICTIM #1].
[WITNESS #1] provided a statement of service, which was completed by Brittany Boss. Brittany has used the stolen check to pay for service at the shop. [WITNESS #1] stated that he was out picking up parts when she arrived, so he did not know that the check was stolen. He stated that his bank notified him that a hold had been placed on the check, due to insufficient funds. [WITNESS #1] stated that he attempted to contact Brittany but was met with hostility. [WITNESS #1] stated that he would provide the text messages between him and Brittany.
[WITNESS #1] was able to provide the camera footage from the business, which showed a female matching the description of Brittany enter the shop, write the check, receive the keys to the vehicle, and leave. Brittany was dropped off in a red GMC Terrain, which [WITNESS #1] recognized since it was also recently worked on at his shop. [WITNESS #1] provided the V.I.N. for the GMC, which is attached to this report. The GMC was run on GCIC and returned to Brittany Boss.
Inv. Myers also searched the V.I.N. for the MDX which was worked on by [WITNESS #1], and it returned to Brittany’s husband, [REDACTED]. As of writing this report, the text messages have not been sent. When Inv. Myers receives them, he will attach them to the case file. Based on the investigation, Inv. Myers established Probable Cause to charge Brittany Boss with the following offenses:
Theft by Receiving Stolen Property- Brittany Boss did knowingly and willingly unlawfully obtain a checkbook belonging to [VICTIM #1], when it was misplaced and made no reasonable effort to return the property to its rightful owner, nor contact law enforcement. Brittany used this check book to pay for service completed at Noroly’s Motorsports.
Forgery 4th Degree- Brittany Boss did knowingly and willingly possess and utter a check written and used for payment for the amount of $1079 at Noroly’s Motorsports, to pay for service done on her vehicle.
Identity Fraud- Brittany Boss did knowingly and willingly possess the checkbook belonging to [VICTIM #1], which contained his address, bank routing number, and bank account number.
Theft of Services- Brittany Boss did knowingly and willingly receive service on her vehicle, valued at $1079, which she intentionally uttered a check that did not belong to her, as payment for the services, with the intent to avoid payment for the services provided by Noroly’s Motorsports.

[NARRATIVE #2 On September 05, 2025]
On September 12th, 2025, at approximately 0328 hours, I (Deputy Wright S122) conducted a warrant attempt at [700 BLOCK] Samuel Ct, in an attempt to locate Brittany Boss, who had multiple warrants for her arrest out of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office. Before making contact at the residence, deputies confirmed with the jail staff that the warrants were valid and that they would place a hold.
I knocked on the front door and made contact with [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] stated that Brittany was not home, but gave us consent to enter his house and search for her. Brittany was located inside one of the bedrooms, sleeping. I advised Brittany she was under arrest and placed her in handcuffs behind her back (double locked and checked for fit). She was searched incident to arrest and secured in the rear of my patrol car with a seatbelt.
I then transported Brittany to the jail, where she was released to the jail staff. While there, all warrants were signed and submitted. The back seat was checked and clear before and after transport.
