On October 28, 2025 at 1645 hours I was dispatched to [900 BLOCK] Hog Mountain Road in reference to a domestic dispute. The caller informed dispatch he and his wife had gotten into an altercation while they were driving home but they had separated from each other when they got there. For that reason I did not use my emergency lights or siren.

I arrived and met with a male at the top of the driveway. He was the caller, [VICTIM #1]. I first observed dried blood on his bottom lip. He stated he and his wife, Cassondra Watson, had gotten into an argument that escalated into her striking him in his mouth, knocking his front tooth loose. He opened his mouth, and I could see some blood around his front tooth. He tried to show me it was extremely loose, but when he touched it, he winced in pain. He was able to touch it enough for me to see that it was extremely loose. He later informed me it was so painful he did not feel like he could eat or brush his teeth.

[VICTIM #1] explained he and Cassondra had planned on going shopping at Kirkland’s in Barrow Crossing. They got into a verbal argument in the parking lot before they got inside so they decided to leave. [VICTIM #1] claimed Cassondra drove very recklessly across the parking lot so when she stopped at the stop sign at Carl-Bethlehem Road he quickly put the vehicle in park and opened his door. When he did this Cassondra responded by striking him in his mouth with her fist. He informed me I would see a mark on her knuckle from this strike.

After the strike, [VICTIM #1] closed the door and told Cassondra to take him to the hospital. She refused and instead drove them home. According to [VICTIM #1] she drove recklessly and erratically, scaring him so much that he was not able to call for emergency assistance until they got home.

I next spoke to Cassondra. She confirmed they got into an argument in the Barrow Crossing Parking lot. She also confirmed that when she stopped for the stop sign at the intersection of Barrow Crossing Boulevard and Carl-Bethlehem Road [VICTIM #1] tried to get out. She stated [VICTIM #1] opened his door and tried to take her purse with him as he got out. She stated she pulled her purse back into the vehicle and [VICTIM #1] slammed the vehicle into park. She stated he kept trying to take her purse and while she was trying to stop him from taking it, she struck him in his mouth. She stated the keys to the vehicle they were in, which was a rental they had just picked up, were in her purse and [VICTIM #1] was trying to take them with him. She showed me her right hand and the knuckle of her ring finger was busted and bloody.

I spoke to [VICTIM #1] again and asked him if he tried to take anything with him as he was getting out of the vehicle. He informed me he tried to take the vehicle keys out of Cassondra’s purse because he thought that would prevent her from driving off. He claimed he was worried about her safety and the safety of the public because of how she had driven across the parking lot. He also stated her purse had been in the floorboard at his feet so he had not tried to take anything directly from her.

After interviewing [VICTIM #1] and Cassondra I felt probable cause existed to charge Cassondra with Aggravated Battery under Georgia’s Family Violence statute. I took pictures of [VICTIM #1] and Cassondra and then provided [VICTIM #1] with a Family Violence victim pamphlet. I also informed him what would be taking place and the next steps in the family violence process.

I informed Cassondra she would was being placed under arrest for Aggravated Battery. I allowed her to walk to my patrol car. I handcuffed her behind her back and checked the handcuffs for proper fit. I double-locked the handcuffs and searched Cassondra’s clothing incident to arrest. I secured her in my patrol vehicle with the seatbelt.

I transported Cassondra to the Barrow County Detention Center and released her to detention staff without incident. Prior to and after transport I searched my patrol vehicle.

I will be applying for one warrant against Cassondra for Aggravated Battery (Family Violence) for striking [VICTIM #1] in his mouth, rendering one of his front teeth useless ([VICTIM #1] stated he had already scheduled an appointment with his dentist).
