On Saturday, March 1, 2025, at approximately 1913 hours, I responded Code 1 to [1600 BLOCK] Atlanta Hwy SE, Apt [REDACTED], regarding a Domestic Dispute where the male party had already left.
Upon arrival, I met with the caller, [VICTIM #1], who stated her ex-boyfriend, Jonathan Porter, had struck her multiple times, broken her flowerpots, and then rammed her car before he left. She said Jonathan was standing at her door arguing when he got mad, grabbed two flowerpots, and threw them at her car. She said he then came back to the door and began to hit her with his fists. As he was striking her, she grabbed him and tried to defend herself, which caused her to break multiple nail extensions off. During the fight, her 15-year-old neighbor came and pulled Jonathan off and began to push him away. Jonathan then yelled that he was going to come back and shoot them, got in his car, and intentionally backed into her vehicle, breaking the driver’s side mirror and damaging the door and front quarter panel. Jonathan’s vehicle is a white 2003 GMC Yukon, bearing Georgia registration number [REDACTED], and hers is a red 2012 Kia Optima, bearing Georgia registration number [REDACTED]. She said the damage to her vehicle was approximately $1,000.00.
I then observed that [VICTIM #1] had multiple raised lumps on her forehead, consistent with being struck on the head. I requested a medical unit come and evaluate her and Med 1 responded to the scene a short time later. [VICTIM #1] allowed the medical unit to check her but stated she did not wish to go to the hospital. I then collected pictures of her injuries and her hands.
I then spoke to the 15-year-old neighbor, who said he was walking around the neighborhood when he heard people yelling and saw Jonathan and [VICTIM #1] fighting at her front door. He said he ran up and began fighting Jonathan to get him away from her, and when he did separate them, Jonathan yelled he was going to come back and shoot him. He then saw Jonathan get into his car, pull out of the parking space he was in, and then reverse into [VICTIM #1]’s car, before driving away. The juvenile stated he did not get injured at all during the confrontation.
I next spoke to [WITNESS #1], the 15-year-old’s mother, who said she was inside her home, apartment [REDACTED] when she heard her son yelling outside. She then stepped outside and asked her son what was happening and heard Jonathan yell that he was going to come back and shoot her son.
Based on the physical injuries, damage to [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle, and witness statements, I developed Probable Cause for the following charges against Jonathan:
Violation of OCGA 16-11-37, Felony, Terroristic Threats and Acts TO WIT Jonathan Porter did yell at [VICTIM #1]’s 15-year-old neighbor that he was going to come back and shoot him after the juvenile male was defending [VICTIM #1] against Jonathan’s unlawful physical assault. The threat was overheard by the juvenile’s mother, [WITNESS #1], who provided a written statement.
Violation of OCGA 16-7-23, Felony, Criminal Damage to Property, Second Degree TO WIT Jonathan Porter did willingly and knowingly intentionally damage the property of [VICTIM #1] without her consent by ramming his white 2003 GMC Yukon, bearing Georgia registration number [REDACTED] into her red 2012 Kia Optima, bearing Georgia registration number [REDACTED], causing approximately $1,000 in damages to the driver’s side door, quarter panel, and mirror.
Violation of OCGA 16-5-23.1, Misdemeanor, Battery TO WIT Jonathan Porter did willingly and knowingly intentionally cause substantial visible bodily harm to [VICTIM #1] by striking her with closed fists on her head, which resulted in multiple raised knots on her forehead.
Violation of OCGA 40-6-270, Misdemeanor, Hit and Run TO WIT Jonathan Porter did willingly and knowingly being the driver of a vehicle, A white 2003 GMC Yukon, bearing Georgia Registration number [REDACTED] involved in an accident resulting in damage to a red 2012 Kia Optima, bearing Georgia Registration number [REDACTED], did fail to immediately stop his vehicle at the scene of the accident to provide information or render assistance.
Warrants for Jonathan’s arrest were secured for the above offenses. The 15-year-old male and his mother both completed written statements. [VICTIM #1] was supplied with a case card. The flower pots that [VICTIM #1] stated were broken were not found, but the plant and soil were still present on her vehicle’s windshield. Pictures were taken of the damage to her vehicle.
