On January 5, 2021, at approximately 2203 hours, I responded code 1 to [200 BLOCK] Stillwood Dr for a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, I made contact with a female juvenile who came running out of the residence saying that he ran away. I told her to calm down and to tell me what was going on. She stated that her mother [VICTIM #1] and her stepfather Jonathan Thomas were fighting.
At this time [VICTIM #1] exited the front door. I told the juvenile to go back inside the residence while I spoke with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and Jonathan were having an adult conversation about him not loving on her. When asked to expound on this statement, [VICTIM #1] advised it was embarrassing and did not provide any other explanation. She stated that the juvenile overheard the conversation and told her that she did not want to hear it. [VICTIM #1] stated that the juvenile has been having behavior issues and has been kicked out of multiple schools. She said that when her daughter and her get into arguments that things get blown out of proportion. [VICTIM #1] confirmed that she did throw her drink because Jonathan told her that he hopes she dies from cancer because she takes Adderall. She showed me where she threw the drink onto her bed.
I then spoke with the juvenile who stated that she was in her room when she overheard her parent’s adult conversation because they were yelling about it. She stated that she heard [VICTIM #1] yell that she was going to call 911 so she did. She also stated that Jonathan was not supposed to be at the residence due to a no contact bond. She followed that up with saying that their caseworker allows him to come over to see his son.
Jonathan was found inside the residence after confirming that there was a no contact bond in place. He was detained and placed in handcuffs and placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle by assisting deputies. Jonathan stated that he had been staying there for a few days after Christmas. He stated that [VICTIM #1] had let him come back to the residence since things seemed to be doing better. He stated that he was trying to rub on [VICTIM #1] when she got mad at him for not loving on her, and that she ended up throwing her drink because she got mad.
Jonathan was taken out of my patrol vehicle where he was placed by assisting deputies and taken out of handcuffs. He was allowed to gather his belongings and was given a ride to his business where he stated that he had been sleeping before [VICTIM #1] allowed him to come back.
No charges where taken at this time due to [VICTIM #1] allowing Jonathan to come back to the residence after the no contact bond was put in place.
