On September 28, 2025 at approximately 1518 hours, I was dispatched to the area of Exchange Cir and Gateway Drive Bethlehem, GA 30620 in reference to a domestic dispute in progress. The caller advised that his girlfriend was attempting to run him over with a car. The caller stated his child was also in the car with the girlfriend. The caller was identified as Mr. Xavier Ancrum, and the girlfriend was identified as Kiahna Washington.
As Xavier was on the phone with Barrow County dispatch, Kiahna left the scene. He described the suspect vehicle as a silver Cadillac with a Georgia license plate “[REDACTED]”. The vehicle was registered to [REDACTED], who is the mother of Kiahna Washington. Barrow County added call notes informing responding officers that the suspect’s residence was at the Stafford Apartments, [90 BLOCK] Market Street Apt [REDACTED] Bethlehem, GA.
I re-routed to the apartment complex and located the Cadillac attempting to exit the gates. As I approached the gates, the female driver stopped in front of the leasing office and flagged me down. Ofc. Dutcher responded to Exchange Cir and Gateway Drive to meet with Xavier Ancrum.
As Kiahna pulled the vehicle into a parking spot, I angled my patrol vehicle towards the rear of the Cadillac sedan and got out to speak to her. Given the prior history of domestic violence and the call notes provided by 911 dispatch, I did perform a frisk on Kiahna for weapons to ensure no immediate threats were present or in arm’s reach. I then asked Kiahna to walk towards my vehicle to ensure she did not attempt to drive off. I allowed her to keep the car running as her daughter was still in the back seat. I began speaking to her about what transpired that afternoon.
Kiahna claimed she had [REDACTED BY AGENCY] along with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] However, she would later claim that she was not medically diagnosed but decided to self-diagnose herself with the condition. Kiahna explained that she has been allowing Xavier to stay at her new place, but they were experiencing problems. I allow Kiahna to talk and vent her frustrations to me. She stated that Xavier was “triggering” her.
Kiahna also stated that she remembered me handling a domestic dispute between her and Xavier. She stated the prior domestic dispute occurred on November 8, 2024 (Case #2024-00045473 and Case #2024-00045482), in which two separate disputes occurred on the same date. However, the dispute I worked on in the past was Case #2024-00038078 on September 23, 2024, that involved a custody dispute for their [REDACTED BY AGENCY] year old daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Kiahna claimed Xavier has mistreated her and caused her symptoms. She stated her symptoms made her irritable. Kiahna stated that she became emotionally “triggered” because Xavier was ignoring her, and due to her symptoms that afternoon. The suspect advised that her close associates knew how emotional she became when someone was ignoring her, emphasizing that Xavier should have known that she would get emotional if he ever ignored her. She claimed that she did not hit Xavier and prompted me to check him for bruises or marks, even though I did not accuse or ask her if she caused him any bodily harm.
She stated she observed Xavier on the phone with 911, claiming she had assaulted him. She reiterated to me that she never touched him. However, Kiahna changed the topic and spoke about what Xavier did that “triggered” her. She claimed that Xavier was sitting at the computer desk in the apartment when she made a comment that she was smelling an odor on her body and stated she needed to put on deodorant. Based on her input, Kiahna allegedly made the comment in a humorous manner to get a reaction from Xavier. However, Kiahna claimed that Xavier looked at her in disgust and turned back around to the computer desk. He put his Beats headphones back on and ignored her comment.
After a while, Kiahna stated that she left the area where Xavier was and went to do laundry. She claimed that while she was cleaning up, Xavier walked in and asked her, “Why do you do that?”. I believe Xavier was referring to her deodorant joke”. This interaction made Kiahna upset, and she told Xavier to call his sister to come pick him up so he could leave the apartment. Kiahna advised that Xavier began pushing her out of the way while she was nearby him. She stated that Xavier was claiming that she was in his way.
Kiahna stated that she got upset with Xavier because she felt that, as the leaseholder, she had the right to stand anywhere she wanted to within the apartment, even if she was in Xavier’s way. She reiterated again that she did not assault Xavier but stated that Xavier got aggressive towards her when she grabbed his personal bookbag off the floor. She believed that he got aggressive with her and snatched the bag because HE knew his gun was in the book bag. The conversation shifted to the incident that occurred on Exchange Circle and Gateway Drive.
Kiahna stated that the incident escalated because he kept walking away from her. She claimed that she was following him in her car, trying to convince him to stop and talk. However, Xavier refused to talk to Kiahna. She emphasized that Xavier kept telling her to leave him alone, and her response was “no”. Once again, Kiahna told me that she did not assault Xavier. I finally explained to Kiahna that I am not accusing her of anything, but I needed to know what happened between the two of them that afternoon.
Kiahna advised that, as Xavier was walking along the sidewalk, she pulled her car towards him and got out to confront him. Based on her physical reenactment of the situation, it appeared as if she was potentially using the vehicle to block his path and getting out of the car to face him. She claimed that Xavier was on the phone, stating that he was trying not to shoot her while she was following him on Exchange Circle. Kiahna overheard his comment and stated she antagonized Xavier saying, “If you’re going to shoot me, I’m in the mood to be shot.”
Kiahna also made the statement, in reference to her dispute with Xavier, “F**k all that, I’m pi*sed right now, and you [Xavier] have triggered me.” She advised that situation escalated between her and Xavier because he continued to ignore her and was not helping her with chores around the apartment. When the two got into an argument in the apartment, Xavier was ignoring her and trying to leave when she did not want him to.
Eventually, Xavier was able to make his way out of the apartment, and Kiahna got in her car and went after him. Kiahna stated that she despises it when Xavier attempts to leave her, and she does whatever she can to make him stay with her. Furthermore, Kiahna confirmed that their daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in the car when she began following him on Exchange Circle.
Due to Kiahna constantly saying that she did not assault Xavier, I asked her if a physical altercation had occurred between the two individuals. She stated that he did not physically assault her in an intentional manner but brushed past her repeatedly in the apartment. I believed she was referencing the statement from earlier where she was “blocking” his path. She stated that she was standing in the doorway, and Xavier apparently pushed past her with his shoulder in an attempt to get out of the room. However, as soon as contact was made, Kiahna stated that she asked Xavier if he was going to hit her again. She stated that Xavier immediately backed up from the doorway and stopped trying to get past her.
She stated that Xavier told her, “Man, just get out of the way.” I did check Kiahna for bruises or marks. She had a bruise near her chest, but she claimed that the bruise was self-induced. She stated that when she gets upset, she tends to beat on her chest in an aggressive manner.
She stated that she did not realize how hard she was hitting herself. I empathized with her, stating that you can’t predict or control how you feel or react when you’re emotionally upset. Kiahna stated that she eventually allowed him to walk out of the apartment, but she got in the car with her daughter approximately two minutes later to go find him. She also claimed that while he was still in the room, trying to exit, he threatened to have his sister and mother come fight her.
Once again, we transitioned the conversation back to the incident on Exchange Circle, where she claimed Xavier pulled a gun on her. When I asked Kiahna to reenact the way Xavier pulled the firearm out during the incident on Exchange. Based on her depiction and mannerisms, it appeared as if Xavier never fully extended the firearm from his bag but partially brandished it as a warning for her antics. She stated that Xavier kept telling her to “Stop”. Then Kiahna made the statement that she was never going to “hit” him with the car because the Cadillac she was driving belonged to her mother, [REDACTED]. She claimed she was just upset by him ignoring her and trying to walk away as she was attempting to stop him.
She reiterated again that she had no intention to hit him with the car but, she became frustrated that he kept walking further way from the sidewalk and into the grassy field on Gateway Drive, as an attempt to distance himself from Kiahna. However, Kiahna stated that she left the roadway and drove over the sidewalk to go after him in the field. She also made the statement, “you [Xavier] are going somewhere, where you think I can’t reach you”. Thus, explaining why she decided to leave the roadway and chase after him in the field lot.
Next, I relocated to Gateway Drive to speak with Xavier Ancrum. Xavier immediately recognized me from the previous dispute call I worked on involving the couple. He stated that he remembered the advice I gave him to walk away from Kiahna if he felt an argument between him and Kiahna was about to happen or escalate to the point that law enforcement would have to get involved.
On my domestic dispute calls, I always recommend couples to keep the peace or to self-separate; if possible, to prevent arguments from escalating in the future. He claimed he took heed to my advice and kept his bags ready and packed at all times. He claimed he attempted to walk away and leave to keep himself from getting in trouble or possibly arrested again for a domestic dispute.
I asked Xavier to explain to me what happened between him and Kiahna. Xavier attested that an argument began after Kiahna made a comment about her needing deodorant. Xavier claimed that he did not respond to that because he knew her menstrual cycle was on, and he wanted to be cautious with what he said to her. Xavier made it seem that Kiahna often got mad at him if he responded to her in a way that could potentially upset her. Based on his response, it seemed that Xavier was hesitant to comment about her body odor because he may have felt an argument would have occurred between the two.
He stated he turned back to the computer desk and continued playing his video game. However, Xavier stated he forgot how upset she tended to get when she was ignored by him. Xavier stated that Kiahna left the room to do laundry, and while doing so, she began pouting around the apartment, slamming things around the apartment, and snatching items from the room in an implied aggressive manner. Xavier stated he could sense anger in Kiahna’s tone of voice as her words became more “attacking” towards him.
Xavier stated that Kiahna began yelling at him and used profane language, demanding that he call his sister to come pick him up. He stated that Kiahna made statements that she was going to beat his sister up, and Xavier decided that he needed to leave the apartment. He stated he felt the situation was becoming hostile, and he wanted to remove himself from the situation.
Xavier stated that he began packing up his video game system and grabbed his bag of clothes to leave. However, Xavier advised that, as he was gathering his belongings, Kiahna would intentionally get in his way and try to block his path or keep him from grabbing his stuff. Xavier stated he stopped and backed away from Kiahna and told her to let him grab his stuff and leave, but Kiahna interfered and began shouting “no, no, no”. He displayed Kiahna’s mannerisms during this incident.
Based on his depiction, while Kiahna was shouting no, she was also using her body to physically keep him from exiting the room and from grabbing his stuff. Xavier advised that during the dispute inside the apartment, Kiahna grabbed his headphones and broke them. He estimated the cost of the headphones to be $250.00. He reiterated that Kiahna was actively forcing him back and not allowing him to get past her without having to physically move her out of his way.
Xavier stated he was scared to push past her because he did not want to be accused of assault and arrested like he was the last time. He stated that Kiahna continued to press her chest up against him to keep him from leaving. Xavier attested that the only time he used physical force against Kiahna was during the Exchange Circle and Gateway Drive incident. Xavier stated that he became physical with Kiahna because she had a “death grip” on his bookbag, and he was trying to call the police.
Xavier claimed that while he was walking on Exchange Circle, Kiahna approached in the Cadillac with his daughter in the back seat. He advised that Kiahna got out of the car and began yanking his arm and bookbag, to keep him from walking away from her and demanding that he stop and talk to her. While this was happening, Xavier stated that he kept telling Kiahna to get off of him. Xavier advised that he pushed away from Kiahna and attempted to create distance from her; however, she continued to follow him and harass him based on his account of the situation.
He stated that Kiahna got back into the Cadillac and began chasing him. He emphasized that Kiahna was driving her car at a high of rate speed trying to follow him as he moved back and forth across the street to elude her. He stated that Kiahna made a threat that she would run him over with the vehicle. He stated that Kiahna left the roadway and jumped the curb on the street of Gateway Drive and veered in the field after him. I could visibly see where the grass was mowed over by Kiahna’s vehicle. The imprint left in the grass and sand on the field indicated that Kiahna was driving with enough speed that it left distinct visible tire track marks in the field.
Xavier stated that as Kiahna’s Cadillac burrowed through the field after him, he began running in a zig-zag path to keep her from hitting him with the vehicle. He stated that he shifted away from the car path and reached into his bag for his firearm. Xavier stated he felt that his life was in danger. He stated that he got low towards the ground in a military tactical stance and pulled his firearm out. However, he stated that he never aimed the weapon towards the car but displayed it so Kiahna could see it in his hand. He stated that while he is holding his handgun, the vehicle is still driving towards him.
Xavier advised that as the Cadillac got closer, he warned Kiahna to stop coming after him. Xavier stated that Kiahna saw the firearm and abruptly stopped the car and exited the vehicle with her phone recording him. Xavier stated he noticed her recording the incident and immediately put his firearm away. He advised that Kiahna threatened him again, so he took off running out of the field and towards the Happy Tails building, 665 Exchange Cir #300 Bethlehem, GA 30620, which was on the opposite side of Gateway Drive. Xavier stated that as he was escaping from the field, Kiahna’s vehicle left the field and hopped the curb back onto Exchange Circle. Xavier stated that Kiahna was driving the car in an aggressive manner towards the building he ran to, and he could audibly hear the engine and exhaust roaring as she approached.
Based on the tire impressions, his descriptions of the vehicle’s sounds, and Kiahna’s behavior, I had reason to believe Kiahna was operating the vehicle in a reckless manner and with dangerous and malicious intent. I did ask if Xavier had any injuries but assisting officers had already assessed him for signs of bruises and marks with no reports.
I transitioned back over to The Stafford Apartments to check the Cadillac for any indications that it left the roadway. I observed dirt stains and “curb rash” marks on the wheels of the Cadillac. The car itself was also covered in heavy dust particles, as if she had been driving the vehicle down a dirt road. I also saw pieces of grass stuck in the fender and door seals as if the vehicle was driven through a tall patch of grass. These findings indicated that Kiahna did leave the roadway. Photos were taken of the vehicle and the grass field where Xavier was chased.
Based on the evidence at the scene and the statements provided by all subjects, I found that Kiahna Washington was the predominant aggressor during this domestic dispute. I placed Ms. Washington under arrest. She was handcuffed with her hands behind her back. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for proper fitment. My female supervisor, Sgt. Hill, searched Ms. Washington incident to arrest for weapons, contraband, and any means of escape prior to escort. The search incident to arrest yielded negative results. My arrestee was placed in the back seat of patrol vehicle# 423 behind the front passenger’s seat. Ms. Washington was buckled in.
Xavier Ancrum was also placed under arrest for violating the conditions of his bond for case number “2024-00045473”. The Family Violence order for his bond that Xavier had to stay away from Kiahna Washington, whether directly or indirectly, by person, telephone, or by any form of communication. The order was signed by Xavier Ancrum on November 10, 2024, and at the time of this call for service, the bond condition was still active.
Mr. Ancrum was placed under arrest and transported to the Barrow County Detention Center by Ofc. Dutcher, per my request. Mr. Ancrum was searched incident to arrest by assisting officers for contraband, weapons, or any means of escape. A Canik TP9 “SFx” 9mm firearm (SN: T647221BC00881) was retrieved from his bookbag and turned over to his father, [REDACTED]. Xavier Ancrum was transported to jail and turned over to the staff without further incident.
Upon arrival at the Barrow County Detention Center, Ms. Washington and her belongings were turned over to the staff. The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was searched for contraband prior to and after transport with negative results. My Watch Guard body camera was worn and activated. The on-board camera in my patrol vehicle was activated during transport as well.
Due to prior knowledge of domestic disputes involving my two arrestees and the knowledge that their juvenile daughter was present while Kiahna behaved in a violent or tumultuous manner and committed a crime of aggravated assault, I completed a CPS Intake Report and submitted the form to Georgia DFCS. Kiahna requested that her daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] be turned over to her brother, [REDACTED]. The owner of the Cadillac, [REDACTED], allowed [REDACTED] to take possession of the vehicle as well.
I procured warrants against Mr. Xavier Ancrum for the following charges:
- Violation of Family Violence Order # 2025-3209MW
I procured warrants against Ms. Kiahna Washington for the following:
- Aggravated Assault # 2025-3208FW
