On January 19, 2026, at approximately 2.018 hours, I was dispatched to the residence of [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Winder, GA, 30680 in reference to a domestic dispute in progress. The anonymous caller advised that his female coworker was involved in a domestic dispute, and it was unclear if the coworker was at risk of being attacked or had already been attacked. The female coworker was identified as Ms. Hannah Aldridge. and the husband was identified as Mr. Matthew Aldridge. I responded Code 3 to the scene in a marked patrol vehicle (Emergency Lights and Siren). Ofc. Melnicuic arrived at the scene to assist.
Upon my arrival, I made contact with Mr. Aldridge and his JUVENILE son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], at the residence. We were informed that his wife had left the scene prior to our arrival. I advised Mr. Aldridge that law enforcement received a call from this location. Mr. Aldridge stated he had video footage of the incident and claimed that he was attacked by his wife and her friends.
Mr. Aldridge advised that he discovered his wife was having an affair with approximately 20-plus men, and he was in the process of evicting her from the house. He claimed that tonight he told her to leave, and she refused, which added to the conflict. Mr. Aldridge also advised that his wife was intoxicated. Mr. Aldridge stated that his wife slapped him in the face while they were standing in the hallway.
He attested that he picked up Mrs. Aldridge and carried her out of the house. He stated that the wife’s friends entered the house soon after and started fighting with him as well. He stated he did get physical with the female friend after he was pushed down. Mr. Aldridge claimed that he noticed his son had blood coming from his nose. I observed that the male juvenile had dried blood in and around his right nostril. I also observed blood smeared on the left chest area of Mr. Aldridge’s shirt. Mr. Aldridge attested that the blood smear was his son’s. I also noticed signs of injury on Mr. Aldridge. I noticed abnormal skin discoloration on his neck, forehead, and cheeks compared to the skin complexion on other parts of his body. He reiterated that his wife had struck him. I also observed a red scratch on his left cheek and the left side of his neck. Next, Mr. Aldridge provided the recorded video footage.
On the video footage, I observed Mr. and Mrs. Aldridge engaged in a verbal dispute. Two JUVENILES, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY], are also resent on camera. I was later informed that they shared the [REDACTED BY AGENCY] together, but JUVENILE [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was his [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Both parents are actively arguing and using profane and vulgar language while the children stand by with them.
On the video, I can hear Mr. Aldridge make the statement, “If you hit me again b**ch, I’m going to throw you through that f**king wall”. In the video, you can hear Mr. Aldridge state “You just hit me in my face again”, as he pushes his wife down. The children began crying in the background as they watched their parents fight.
Mr. Aldridge drags Mrs. Aldridge across the floor and attempts to throw her outside, but he lets her go, and she gets back up on her own accord. Ms. Aldridge walks back to the hallway to grab an item from the floor, then gets back into her husband’s face, and they continue to argue as the wife’s friend, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], enters the house. Ms. Aldridge was sitting down on the couch but stood back up to get back into her husband’s face before pushing him. They continue to bicker with each other before she slaps Mr. Aldridge in the face on the left cheek. I believe this strike caused the discoloration and scratch I observed on Mr. Aldridge’s face.
Mr. Aldridge grabs his wife and hurls her through the open front door of the home. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] picked up [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and tried to carry him outside, but was stopped by Mr. Aldridge, and he began fighting her over possession of the child. Mr. Aldridge eventually overpowers [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. As he fights to take the child away, I can see Mr. Aldridge hit [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the chest or arm during the struggle.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] throws a punch back and strikes Mr. Aldridge in the face. Mr. Aldridge slings his son down into the side of the couch armrest with a detectable thud. Meanwhile, he was actively trying to fight [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. I do consider [REDACTED BY AGENCY] strikes a reaction of self-defense as the physical was unprovoked and a reasonable person would believe that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was doing the right thing to remove the child from the dangerous environment going on inside the house.
After seeing his significant other being attacked, Mr. [WITNESS #1] steps in to protect [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and tells Mr. Aldridge to keep his hands off of his “ol lady”. Mr. Aldridge then steps towards Mr. [WITNESS #1] as if he is about to attack him, and the two get into a shoving match. Mr. [WITNESS #1] steps back to disengage. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] tries to pick up the crying child from off the floor, and Mr. Aldridge pushes her down into the coffee table while she is holding his son in her hands.
Mr. Aldridge snatches his son up a second time and can be seen flinging his son around like a ragdoll. While the child is in Mr. Aldridge’s right arm, Ms. Aldridge tries to slap Mr. Aldridge on the left side of his face, but he blocks the strike and punches his wife in the face, causing her to lose balance and topple over the coffee table. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Mr. [WITNESS #1] disengaged and backed away from Mr. Aldridge. Mr. [WITNESS #1] goes over to help Ms. Aldridge and carries her outside. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] is left in the house with Mr. Aldridge. Photos were taken of Matthew Aldridge’s injury and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Injury.
Mr. Aldridge did not request a medical evaluation for himself or his child. Mr. Aldridge also handed over two cellphones that belonged to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Hannah. He stated that the phones were left during the altercation, and he did not allow them back inside due to the physical altercation. However, he did turn over the phones to me without incident.
Next, I contacted Mr. [WITNESS #1] via cellphone. He advised the parties left the scene and went to his residence in Monroe, GA. I advised Mr. [WITNESS #1] that I had two phones that belonged to his girlfriend and Ms. Hannah. I advised him that I needed them to meet me at the police department in Winder. Initially, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Mrs. Aldridge returned to the scene to meet. They advised that [WITNESS #1] stayed at the house to watch over their kids in Monroe due to the time if night. I was advised that Mr. [WITNESS #1] would come up to meet me once someone came back to Monroe to watch over the children. I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] first.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she drove to the Valleyview Drive residence to bring Hannah food. She advised that she saw the physical altercation happening between Hannah and Matthew and went inside to check on her friend. She also ushered [WITNESS #1] inside to help as well. She advised that as Matthew Aldridge opens the door, she can see Hannah on the ground. As [REDACTED BY AGENCY] ran outside, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] directed her to go sit in her car. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] goes inside the house with the food and observes the physical altercation start up again. She attested that things happened so fast that she couldn’t recall every detail of the dispute, however her account of the events lined up with what I observed on the camera footage. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if she had any injuries, and she advised no. Next, I spoke to Mrs. Aldridge, but she claimed she didn’t remember anything and admitted to me that she had been drinking alcohol that evening.
Based on the evidence and statements provided, it appeared that mutual combat occurred between Hannah and Matthew Aldridge during this domestic dispute. Neither party involved requested medical treatment. I placed Hannah Aldridge under arrest with her hands behind her back. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for proper fitment. Mrs. Aldridge’s outer garments were searched incident to arrest for weapons, contraband, and any means of escape prior to escort. The search was recorded via body cam. The search \ yielded negative results.
Mrs. Aldridge was asked if she had any contraband concealed on her person, and she stated no. I escorted my arrestee to my patrol vehicle #423. Mrs. Aldridge was placed in the back seat of my patrol vehicle behind the front passenger’s seat. Mrs. Aldridge was buckled in. Her belongings were secured in my patrol vehicle. Upon arrival at the Barrow County Detention Center, my arrestee was searched again by a female jail deputy at the facility. The search yielded negative results, and she was turned over to the jail staff for booking. The rear seat of my patrol vehicle was searched for contraband prior to and after transport with negative results.
Assisting officers relocated to [400 BLOCK] Valleyview Drive to take Mr. Aldridge into custody per my request. See the case supplemental report for more information. Mr. Aldridge was turned over to the jail staff without incident. The juvenile son was turned over to the custody of the grandmother, Ms. [REDACTED].
Due to the nature of this domestic dispute involving my two arrestees and the knowledge of the juvenile’s injuries, I will complete a CPS Intake Report and submit the form to Georgia DFCS.
