On 01/06/2022 at approximately 1440 hours I was driving in an unmarked Winder Police Department vehicle in the area of Capitol Ave and Williamson St in Winder, GA. I observed a blue minivan in front of [100 BLOCK] Capitol Ave. I have seen wanted subject Quanjuana Hamilton drive this mini van before. As I drove by the parked van I observed a female in the driver seat whom I believed to be Hamilton. I requested assistance from marked patrol units in the area. I drove around the block in an attempt to not bring attention to myself and keep an eye on Hamilton’s whereabouts. I observed Hamilton pull into the Cash & Carry Food Mart located at 115 Martin Luther King Jr Drive, Winder, GA 30680. Cpl Thomas arrived on scene and I went to assist him in making contact with Hamilton.
I went inside the store with Cpl Thomas and observed Hamilton near the electronic gambling machines in the rear of the store. Cpl Thomas was talking with Hamilton and I went outside to verify that Hamilton was still wanted and where the warrant was out of. She returned with an arrest warrant out of Winder, GA. I went back inside the store and I placed two pairs of double locked handcuffs to Hamilton’s wrists behind her back – they were double locked. The warrant was later confirmed. A female officer traveled to our location and searched Hamilton incident to arrest. She was seated and buckled into the rear of Ofc. Oberholtzer’s marked patrol vehicle and was then transported to BCSO.
I went back into service.
This incident was captured on body worn camera.
