[NARRATIVE #1 on February 23, 2026]
On 2/23/2026 at 0153 hours, Ofc. Pierce, Cpl. Morris and I (Sgt. Wolfe) were dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Winder, GA reference to a dispute. The caller stated that her roommate was going crazy and had busted into her bedroom along with turning off the electricity. Dispatch advised that the caller had locked herself in her bathroom.
Upon our arrival, Code 3, Ofc. Pierce began speaking with the caller, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated that her roommate, Ronald Boyer, had cut off the electricity and that they had gotten into a verbal argument. [REDACTED BY AGENCY]stated Mr. Boyer went into the garage and started a chainsaw to intimidate her. When asked if she was in fear of receiving a violent injury from Mr. Boyer, she stated she was and then proceeded to say that on Tuesday, 02/17/2026, during another argument with Mr. Boyer, he had pointed a gun in her face, made a threatening statement, then proceeded to fire one round in the ceiling of the residence.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] then proceeded to show us the bullet hole in the ceiling. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she did not know where Mr. Boyer was and gave us permission to search the house for him. The room where Mr. Boyer lived was locked with a dog inside. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] believed that Mr. Boyer went downstairs due to the basement door being ajar. Announcements were made downstairs, but no one answered. When asked if he had any firearms, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the only ones she knows about are the ones she currently has, and that she had just recently bought a safe, after the incident, so she could secure them. We asked her to go confirm that all the guns were accounted for.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that there was a revolver missing, and she did not know where it was. While gathering more information and holding our positions, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated there were multiple rooms in the basement, that only Mr. Boyer goes in, and that he will sometimes lock himself inside. Due to the information that Mr. Boyer was possibly armed and barricaded, I requested additional units to help secure the residence. Ofc. Morris, who had gone to hold the basement door, advised that there was a ladder leaning up against the back fence and that the basement door was open, but he did not see anybody.
A deputy with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office advised that a female had walked up to the scene and was friends with Mr. Boyer. She requested a medic for unknown reasons. The female, later identified as [WITNESS #1], advised deputies that Mr. Boyer had fled over the fence.
It was later determined that Mr. Boyer had fled the residence prior to law enforcement’s arrival, based on the location of his phone ping, the statement made by Ms. [WITNESS #1], and later text message communication with [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. We then cleared the rest of the residence and confirmed he was not there.
Upon further investigation, revealed that Ms. [WITNESS #1] had been present for tonight’s dispute and was present when Mr. Boyer had discharged the firearm. I went to speak with Ms. [WITNESS #1], who advised that Mr. Boyer was her child’s father. I asked about the gun incident. Ms. [WITNESS #1] confirmed she was present. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. Boyer and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had gotten into a dispute regarding a new camera that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had placed in the basement.
Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. Boyer was upset when he located the camera and removed it. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that there was a heated argument between them and a male friend of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised that Mr. Boyer fired one shot into the ceiling. I asked why he did that, and she stated that Mr. Boyer was trying to get the argument to stop. I asked how he retrieved the firearm, and she stated he already had it on his person. I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] if Mr. Boyer ever pointed it at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] or made any threats toward [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated no.
I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] if she was present for tonight’s dispute, and she stated she was. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did not know she was there, but she had been dropped off by a friend, and was on the back porch, when she could hear Mr. Boyer and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in a heated argument/dispute. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated she did not think it got physical, but that there was a lot of commotion inside. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that after Mr. Boyer left through the backyard, he used the ladder to climb the fence, and that he took off. Ms. [WITNESS #1] did not wish to go to the hospital, and claimed she had nowhere to go, and that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did not want her at the residence. I then gave her a ride to the Waffle House (19 W. May Street).
See Ofc. Pierce’s case report for more information.

[NARRATIVE #2 on February 23, 2026]
On February 23rd, 2026, at approximately 1:53 AM, I, Ofc. Pierce responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Winder, GA 30680 for the report of a domestic dispute. I responded to the scene CODE 3 in marked patrol unit 406 to meet with the caller, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Upon arriving at the scene, I exited my marked patrol unit and approached the residence’s front door. While on the front porch, I looked in through the side window of the front door and observed the entire living room of the residence; I did not see anyone there. I then knocked on the front door, at which point [REDACTED BY AGENCY] answered the door and exited the residence to speak with me. Upon [REDACTED BY AGENCY] exiting the residence, I asked what had transpired tonight for LEO to have been called to the scene.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] then stated that she and her roommate, Mr. Ronald Boyer, had gotten into an argument tonight, which resulted in Mr. Boyer turning off the power to the home at the breaker box inside the residence. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also stated that Mr. Boyer had been taunting her at the time by saying, “I’m gonna get you,” at which point she had locked herself inside a bathroom before Mr. Boyer began to bang on the door. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also noted that similar incidents have happened recently with Mr. Boyer, as he had pointed a loaded pistol at her and stated, “I’m gonna get you.” before discharging a single round into the ceiling of the residence. When asked when that had occurred, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the incident involving the gun had occurred on the previous Tuesday, the 16th of February 2026.
It was later determined that the incident on 02/16/2026 occurred inside the home after [REDACTED BY AGENCY] discovered another female, later identified as Ms. [WITNESS #1], there without her permission. When [REDACTED BY AGENCY] confronted Mr. Boyer on this finding, Mr. Boyer produced a Glock 27 chambered in .40 (SN: XZH264), which belonged to [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and pointed it at [REDACTED BY AGENCY] before discharging a round into the ceiling. It was also determined that the incident on 02/23/26 had occurred inside the residence, following Mr. Boyer’s discovery of a camera in the home’s basement, set up by [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to capture evidence of Mr. Boyer sneaking Ms. [WITNESS #1] into the home without her knowledge. When Mr. Boyer confronted [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on this finding, a verbal argument ensued, which resulted in [REDACTED BY AGENCY] calling 911 after locking herself in one of the home bathrooms.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that she last saw Mr. Boyer inside the home, where he may have fled to the basement upon calling 911, as the basement door was open when it is normally closed.
Upon entering the residence with LEO, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] pointed to the ceiling just past the front door, where I had observed a single bullet hole in the drywall on the ceiling, where [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had stated the incident with the pistol had previously occurred. Pictures of the firearm that was involved were taken on the scene and are to be attached to this report.
WPD units then performed a protective sweep of the residence, except for the home’s basement and Mr. Boyer’s room, due to the possibility that Mr. Boyer had been in the basement with a firearm and because Mr. Boyer’s room was locked with a key. Sgt. Wolfe then requested a phone ping of Mr. Boyer’s cellphone, which showed Mr. Boyer’s possible location in the area of Mystic Lane and Brandywine Dr. Due to the possibility that Mr. Boyer was not inside the home, a protective sweep of the home’s basement was performed, with negative contact. A protective sweep of Mr. Boyer’s room was also conducted after [REDACTED BY AGENCY] let LEO inside. After the protective sweep was performed, Auburn PD officers assisting on the scene located two clear bags of a crystallized substance, believed to be methamphetamine, as well as 2 glass smoking pipes on Mr. Boyer’s nightstand. These items were later seized and are to be submitted for destruction.
During this time, BCSO units were approached by Ms. [WITNESS #1], who had been walking in the area. It was later discovered that Ms. [WITNESS #1] had been at the residence without [REDACTED BY AGENCY] knowledge, and also verbally confirmed that Mr. Boyer had left the house on foot prior to LEO’s arrival on the scene. See Sgt. Wolfe’s supplemental report for further information regarding the later questioning of Ms. [WITNESS #1] on the scene.
At this point, I found sufficient probable cause to charge Mr. Boyer with the following offenses:
- OCGA 16-5-21 Aggravated assault (FV)
- OCGA 16-5-60 Reckless conduct
- OCGA 16-5-20 Simple Assault (FV)
It later emerged that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Mr. Boyer had been in text message communication during this incident; however, Mr. Boyer had stopped responding and turned his phone off, as confirmed by attempts to call him, which went straight to voicemail.
[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was provided with the case card for the incident, which contained the incident number on the reverse side.
I was wearing my department-issued body-worn camera for the investigation of this incident.
Upon returning to the WPD headquarters, I was able to place and secure the following items into the temporary locker #013 for destruction:
- 2 clear plastic bags containing 1.63g of a crystallized substance believed to be methamphetamine
- 2 glass smoking pipes containing a crystallized substance believed to be methamphetamine
I was also able to complete property receipt #A-29664 with a matching LERMS submission.
While at the WPD headquarters, I was also able to procure the following warrants:
- (2026-0505FW) for OCGA 16-5-21 Aggravated assault (FV)
- (2026-0506MW) for OCGA 16-5-60 Reckless conduct
- (2026-0507MW) for OCGA 16-5-20 Simple Assault (FV)

[NARRATIVE #3 on March 02, 2026]
On 3/2/2026 at approximately 1353 hours, I was dispatched to the Royal Blue Wines & Spirits located at 321 N Broad St. in reference to a warrant attempt. An anonymous caller stated that there was a male inside of the store at the gambling machines in the back named Ronald Boyer that had active warrants. I responded CODE 1 in my marked patrol vehicle #459.
Upon arrival, I entered the business and went to the back of the store. I observed Ronald sitting at one of the gambling machines and told him to stand up and put his hands behind his back. Ronald stood up and turned around, placing his hands behind his back. I placed handcuffs on the wrists behind his back and escorted Ronald to my patrol vehicle outside. I asked dispatch to confirm the warrant. I advised Ronald that he was being detained at this time for his warrants and waiting on confirmation.
A little while later, the warrant was confirmed and I advised Ronald that he was now under arrest for the warrants. Ronald was searched for weapons, contraband, and any means of escape and found nothing. Ronald was placed in the back of my patrol vehicle and his seatbelt was fastened for safety during transport. I advised dispatch of my beginning mileage and was in route to the Barrow County Detention Center.
The warrants were signed and turned over to jail staff.
My patrol vehicle was searched prior to and after transport for contraband and found nothing.
