On 9/28/25 Deputy Antwune McCurry was dispatched to [40 BLOCK] Heartland Circle regarding a verbal dispute between family members.

Upon arrival I contacted the caller/complainant who was standing on the roadway. As I exited my patrol vehicle, I observed the complainant to be extremely upset and crying hysterically identifying herself to be [VICTIM #1]. While speaking with [VICTIM #1] she stated that she received a call in the middle of the night from an unidentified person to respond to a residence in another part of Barrow County to give her daughter (Summer Reye Shaw) a ride due to her having a confrontation with several people at the location and Summer was intoxicated. Upon [VICTIM #1]’s arrival to the location an argument ensued between her and Summer. After pleading with Summer, she declined to leave the residence with her mother [VICTIM #1].

For the safety and well-being of Summer’s juvenile child [VICTIM #1] took custody of the juvenile due to Summer being extremely intoxicated and belligerent and took the child to her residence for the night.

A couple hours passed, and a family friend received a phone call to come assist with calming Summer down due to her continuously acting irate while intoxicated at the other address. The family friend was able to respond and calm Summer down and give her a ride back to her mother’s address at [40 BLOCK] Heartland Circle.

Once at the residence Summer and [VICTIM #1] met outside the residence and spoke briefly about the incident that occurred prior. During this time another verbal altercation occurred, and Summer became extremely upset, in a rage. She begins intentionally interfering with [VICTIM #1]’s property by throwing/ kicking things from the front porch such as: Patio Furniture, Charcoal grill, Child’s bicycle, and flowerpots.

At this time [VICTIM #1] awoke Summer’s father [REDACTED] who attempted to deescalate and calm Summer down. As things continue to escalate, Law enforcement was notified.

Deputy McCurry attempted to speak with Summer on scene. While doing Summer was extremely irate, screaming, and using obscene profane language having to be brought down several times. After minutes of conversating with Summer she continued to disobey officers’ orders given, acting drunk and belligerent, screaming aloud awaking the neighbors, and causing a disturbance in the early morning hours.

As Officers continued to reconcile with Summer and figure out a solution, she was continuously acting hostile, and angry with aggression toward her family members.

Based on initial contact, testimonial and physical evidence, demeanor on scene, and behavior Summer was continuously demonstrating I placed her under arrest. She was then cuffed behind her back. Cuffs were then double locked and fitted for tightness. I secured Summer in the rear of my patrol vehicle.

I continued speaking with [VICTIM #1] and she stated that she has observed summer consuming alcoholic beverages numerous times but never experienced her acting irate and belligerent.

Deputy McCurry photographed the disturbed property and provided [VICTIM #1] with a case number and case card. [VICTIM #1] attempted to speak with Summer before I left the scene and she became more agitated screaming (She hated her, and she would never speak to her again).

Scene was cleared and I transported Summer to the Barrow County Detention Center. Once at the Detention Center she was released to Detention Staff.

I then secured criminal warrants for the offenses: Disorderly Conduct 16-11-39, and Criminal Trespass (FV) 16-7-21.
