On November 6th, 2025, at approximately 1610 hours, I was dispatched to [800 BLOCK] Exchange Cir Apt [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute. I traveled to the location code 1 to the address in the marked patrol vehicle 407.

Upon arrival at the address, I observed a male who matched the description of the male involved in the dispute, who was later identified as Mr. [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Upon exiting my marked patrol vehicle, I made contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and detained him for the time being until further information was obtained. As I was speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I observed multiple cuts to his arms and face, with dried blood coming from the largest cut on his left arm. I then asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if he wanted to be checked out by EMS, which he declined.

I then asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if he would mind if I searched him to ensure he did not have any weapons, to which he stated yes, could I completed my search with negative results. I then placed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into the rear seating area of my vehicle and had Ofc. Smallwood standby with him as Cpl. Morris and I approached the apartment.

Upon arriving at the apartment door, we made contact with a female who was later identified as Ms. Terinisha Scott. Terinisha explained that she and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had begun arguing when it became physical. Terinisha stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] threw her onto the couch and pinned her down as he choked her. At that time, I asked Terinisha to show me where he had placed his hands. As Terinisha lifted her neck, I observed no visible red marks or bruises anywhere on her neck. I then asked Terinisha if she would be willing to fill out a written statement form, to which she agreed.

While Terinisha was filling out the statement form, I asked her to explain to me where the knife was. Terinisha stated that the knife was located in the kitchen sink. As I approached the sink, I observed a black handled kitchen knife I then asked Terinisha if the knife I observed was the one she used, to which she stated yes, it was. I then retrieved the knife for evidence purposes.

Due to victims injuries and Terinisha being 11 weeks pregnant Cpl. Morris request a med unit to evaluate both subjects. Terinisha and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were both check and released on scene by barrow county emergency services (med 3).

After Terinisha had finished her written statement, I proceeded back to my patrol vehicle, where I began speaking to [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that he and Terinisha had been arguing, and when he attempted to leave, Terinisha became physical with him and grabbed a serrated knife, and began cutting him [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he was able to exit the apartment and contact his mother using Terinisha’s phone to obtain a means of transportation from the apartment. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that his mother had sent him money to use a ride share app, but he was unable to use it because he needed Terinisha’s passcode to access it. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he then went back into the apartment to ask for Terinisha’s passcode.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] further explained that when he re-entered the apartment, Terinisha shut and locked the door behind him and began striking and scratching him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that Terinisha blocked the door with her body as he attempted to exit once more. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that’s when he pushed Terinisha to the side and left the apartment. After [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had explained what had happened, I then asked him if he would be willing to fill out a written statement form, to which he agreed.

Once [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had finished his written statement, Cpl. Morris and I proceeded back to the apartment in order to speak with Terinisha. When we began speaking with Terinisha, she then stated that she knew she was going to jail. I then began asking Terinisha if she had anyone who would be able to pick up the two children who were at the apartment, to which she stated yes, that Ms. [REDACTED], her cousin, would be picking up the children. After some tune, [REDACTED] arrived at the apartment and took position of the children.

I then placed Terinisha in a set of my department-issued handcuffs, checking for a proper fit and double-locking them to ensure they would not tighten. I placed the cuffs in front of her due to Terinisha being pregnant.

Cpl. Morris then transported Terinisha to BCDC and turned her over to the intake Deputies.

I then went back in service with no further incident.

I packaged the knife into the appropriate container and completed a LERMS entry and Property Receipt #A-31064, and placed the knife into temporary locker #3.

Pictures of both the victim and suspect were taken and will be attached to this report.

I issued two warrants for Ms. Terinisha Scott’s arrest
