[NARRATIVE #1 on August 09, 2025]
On August 9, 2025, I was en route to a disturbance call on Tanners Bridge Road at Tanners Bridge Circle. While driving east on Tanners Bridge Road at Mill Creek Road, I visually estimated a white SUV, identified as a Kia Telluride, driving west on Tanners Bridge Road at 90mph in a posted 50mph zone. While the Telluride was passing me, I was able to determine that the driver was a black male wearing a white shirt with a white hat. Deputy Kinney’s dashcam later confirmed the outfit when the driver bailed on foot. I activated my Stalker DSR2X radar and received a loud Doppler tone to indicate a strong lock on the car. I observed a speed of 91mph in a posted 50mph zone. I turned around at the front of a neighborhood and observed the Telluride turn right onto Bethel-Bower Road. I saw the Telluride behind a car when taking a right turn. When I made it to Bethel-Bower Road, the Telluride had already passed the car in the no-passing zone. I observed the Telluride turn into Preserve Drive.
When I arrived at Preserve Drive, I was able to determine that the Telluride had driven off the road, striking the stop sign at the end of Preserve Drive. I called for a second unit to come to the neighborhood because I believed the Telluride was trying to evade law enforcement. While in the neighborhood, I was flagged down by a man who told me a Telluride sped past him to another road deeper into the neighborhood. When I arrived at that road, another group of people walking told me that a Telluride just passed them and turned onto Nature Court. I stopped at the end of Nature Court and could see the Telluride in the cul-de-sac. The Telluride began backing up, so I turned around to wait for it to come back out of the cul-de-sac. When I did so, Deputy Kinney drove down Nature Court, and the Telluride pulled into a driveway. The driver, later identified as William Greer, bailed out of the Telluride and ran into the woods behind the house. The Telluride was identified as a 2022 Kia Telluride bearing GA tag: [REDACTED].
After a K9 track through the woods, William was not located. William was identified by the people inside the house that he stopped at. It was his family’s residence, and they were more than willing to identify him.
The owner of the Telluride, [REDACTED], was notified of where her car was. Before [REDACTED] arrived at the residence, I had called for a tow truck and conducted a vehicle inventory search. A firearm was located inside the Telluride, in the glove box. Firearm: Taurus G3C SN: ACA446411. Once she arrived at the residence, the Telluride was turned over to her. Due to William being on felony probation, I had the Barrow County Detention Center run a criminal history and confirm that he is a felon.
Warrants will be obtained for Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (OCGA 16-11-1310), Speeding (OCGA 40-6-181), Reckless Driving (OCGA 40-6-390), Improper passing in a no passing zone (OCGA 40-6-46), Hit and Run, Duty of driver to return to the scene (OCGA 40-6-270), Obstruction (OCGA 16-10-24), Driving while license is suspended (OCGA 40-5-121).

[NARRATIVE #2 on September 11, 2025]
On 9-11-25 I Deputy C. Williams arrived at Walton Co So to transport William Greer on 6 Traffic Warrants for court and is being transported to the Barrow Co Jail. He was searched, restraint devices were checked for proper fit, leg irons and handcuffs both were double locked. He was placed in my Patrol vehicle and seat belted in. We arrived at Barrow Co SO without incident and he was turned over to Jail Staff. Patrol Vehicle was searched before and after transporting contraband and none was found. A warrant was served.
