On Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1232 hours, I was dispatched to [10 BLOCK] Stiles Ct, in reference to a domestic. Upon arrival, I met with Abby Schmidt.
Abby alleged that her mother, [VICTIM #1], had pushed her in front of their residence causing her to fall. Abby was attempting to move out of the home and had plans to get a ride away with help from her neighbor, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Abby stated she was standing, speaking with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at the concrete path in front of the porch with [VICTIM #1] standing on the porch steps behind her. Abby stated [VICTIM #1] pushed her from behind causing her to trip and injure her left knee after she fell. I did observe a fresh, bloody scuff mark to Abby’s knee.
I met with [VICTIM #1] inside of her residence. Based on [VICTIM #1]’s physical limitations, it appeared highly unlikely that she would be able to have the physical force to push Abby over. [VICTIM #1] is an elderly female who walks with a limp supported by a walking cane. [VICTIM #1] also appears to be less than half of Abby’s approximate body weight which also made this accusation unfeasible.
I was unable to meet with [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who witnessed the altercation. I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] by telephone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] explained that she was present at the home to try and help Abby by giving her transportation away from the home. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [VICTIM #1] did not push Abby and instead, Abby fell on her own accord. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Abby was attempting to walk down the stairs but tripped and fell on to the concrete.
Based on the testimonies provided to me, I place Abby under arrest for false report of a crime. Abby was transported to the Bartow County Jail and released to jail staff without incident.
I later secured a warrant on Abby for the false report of crime. Abby’s knee injury was treated on scene by Metro.
