On May 7, 2026, at approximately 1409 hours, Deputy Clark (956) and I responded to [40 BLOCK] Dodson Rd., Cartersville, Georgia, in reference to a domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival, I observed Alecia Cheeks (later identified by her Georgia driver’s license, [REDACTED]) throw a large brick paver into the rear windshield of a van (later identified by Georgia registration [REDACTED]). Alecia was immediately detained.
I then made contact with [VICTIM #1] (later identified by her Georgia driver’s license, [REDACTED]). [VICTIM #1] stated that on the previous day, Alecia had purchased several items from Dollar General and, on today’s date, wanted to return them. [VICTIM #1] stated Alecia became upset because [VICTIM #1] was taking too long to take her to the store. While gathering the items to be returned, Alecia realized she had lost her receipt. [VICTIM #1] stated that while searching for the receipt inside the van, Alecia began yelling expletives.
[VICTIM #1] stated that [VICTIM #2] (later identified by her Georgia driver’s license, [REDACTED]) advised Alecia that she would not be allowed to use her vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated that when she went inside the residence to return the keys to [VICTIM #2], Alecia grabbed a butcher knife and cut the window screen in attempt to go after [VICTIM #2] to retrieve the keys. [VICTIM #2] showed me that she was seated on the other side of the window screen and was nearly cut by Alicia. After speaking with [VICTIM #2], she advised that she was in fear of being cut and/or stabbed during the incident. [VICTIM #1] further stated that after being unable to obtain the keys, Alecia cut an additional window screen to the living room window.
[VICTIM #1] stated that while outside the residence, Alecia was heard stating that if her grandfather, [VICTIM #3] (later identified by his Georgia driver’s license, [REDACTED]), came outside, she would stab and kill him. After speaking with [VICTIM #3], he advised that he was in fear for his life due to Alecia’s threats. [VICTIM #1] stated Alecia then entered the residence, picked up a sitting pedal machine, and threw it into a wall in the living room. [VICTIM #1] further stated that Alecia then went into the kitchen, retrieved groceries, and threw them into the front yard before walking to a neighbor’s residence to use a phone and call 911.
[VICTIM #1] stated that after leaving the neighbor’s residence, Alecia walked around the area before returning with a red brick paver, which she threw into the rear windshield of the van as Deputy Clark and I arrived on scene. While Alecia was being escorted to my patrol vehicle, she stated to Deputy Clark that “when she gets out of jail, they will all be dead, and that’s a promise, not a threat.”
Alecia was arrested and transported to the Bartow County Jail. Warrants were secured for the four charges listed.
