On 04/16/2026, I was dispatched to a physical domestic at [90 BLOCK] Somerset Club Dr. Upon arrival, I spoke with [VICTIM #1], who stated that she and her boyfriend, Ashley Reed, had been in a domestic dispute. During the dispute, [VICTIM #1] stated that Ashley choked her for approximately ten seconds. While being choked, [VICTIM #1] stated that in self-defence, she did scratch and claw Ashley’s face in an attempt to get him to let go. [VICTIM #1] had visible marks on her neck consistent with being choked. I asked the victim if she wanted or needed medical attention, to which she replied no.
Other deputies and I went to apartment [REDACTED] to speak with Ashley. Once I made contact with Ashley, I placed him in handcuffs and advised him that he was detained. I then spoke to him about the dispute and the assault. He stated that she clawed his face and denied choking her. I then placed him under arrest and escorted him to my patrol vehicle. Ashley was transported to the Bartow County Jail, where medical staff cleared him and released him into their custody.
