On Sunday November 3rd 2024 at 1547 hours I was dispatched to [6300 BLOCK] Emerald Trail SE Acworth GA 30102 in reference to a physical domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1], who advised suspect/Austin Crankshaw left the scene before my arrival. [VICTIM #1] stated Austin is his grandson who has Bipolar issues and is aggressive at times.

[VICTIM #1] advised Austin was in the kitchen using the microwave when he slammed a plate and then proceeded to slam the microwave door shut. [VICTIM #1] advised he told Austin he pays the bills and that Austin does not pay for anything, which caused Austin to become aggressive with him and started cussing at him. [VICTIM #1] then shoved Austin, which caused Austin to kick [VICTIM #1] in the knee. [VICTIM #1] advised Bartow Dispatch that his knee had been dislocated. [VICTIM #1] advised Austin can be aggressive and has punched holes in the doors before.

[VICTIM #1] believes Austin targeted his knees on purpose due to the 2 knee replacements he has had in the past and how easily his knees will dislocate.

I had EMS evaluate [VICTIM #1]’s knee, and they advised that it was not dislocated but would be sore. [VICTIM #1] refused to go to the hospital for medical treatment and said he would go by car if needed.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #1], who is Austin’s grandma. She advised he is very bipolar and has tried to get him medical help in the past, but Austin stopped taking his medication. [WITNESS #1] advised she witnessed the altercation.

[WITNESS #1] stated that Austin was in the kitchen making food when he slammed the microwave door shut, causing [VICTIM #1] to get upset with him. She advised that she saw Austin kick [VICTIM #1] but was unsure where he was kicked. [WITNESS #1] stated that Austin is aggressive at times due to his Bipolar issue.

I was unable to locate Austin due to him leaving before my arrival.

I took pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s knee and secured a warrant for Austin’s arrest for Simple Battery on a person who is 65 years of age or older.

I advised [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] to contact the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office if Austin returns to their residence.
