On February 17th, 2026, I responded to [100 BLOCK] Cemetery St. in reference to a disorder.

Upon arrival, I spoke with Mr. Brandon Berrong. Brandon stated that while his kids were in the woods shooting guns at squirrels, his kids notified him that a neighbor shot a gun in their direction, and it was later determined to have occurred in Kingston’s jurisdiction.

After Officer Ferrel with the Kingston Police Department concluded his investigation, I escorted Officer Ferrel back to Brandon’s residence. Brandon became extremely irate due to no arrest being made and began to call the neighbor a nig*er several times and stated that we will have to “call the coroner to scrape him off the side of the road when I’m done with him.” After several attempts to calm Brandon down and explain why the Kingston Police Department came to the decision not to prosecute, Brandon began screaming louder while still using racial slurs and punching his left palm with his right fist.

Brandon was then placed in handcuffs with his hands behind his back. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double-locked to prevent further tightening.

Brandon was transported without incident to the Bartow County Jail, where he was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct.
