On Monday, September 15, 2025, at 0151 hours, I was dispatched to [5300 BLOCK] Groovers Landing Road SE, Acworth, GA 30101 for a domestic in progress.

Upon arrival, several individuals were present during the incident, and each person began to explain the following.

I first spoke to the 911 caller, [WITNESS #1], who indicated that he was upstairs in his bedroom when he heard yelling and came downstairs to investigate the commotion. He observed Brett Raczynski, who was yelling with his aunt’s boyfriend, [VICTIM #1].

[WITNESS #1] indicated that both parties were pushing each other. Then Brett went upstairs as directed by different family members and had something in his hand, which appeared to be a pair of scissors, and was telling [VICTIM #1] he was going to kill him several times while getting closer. [WITNESS #1] had pepper spray and used it on Brett based on the comments he was making. Brett then went upstairs and downstairs again and immediately exited the residence, heading in an unknown direction.

Then, I spoke to Brett’s mom, [WITNESS #2], who communicated to me that Brett was having a mental breakdown and was yelling. [WITNESS #2] told Brett to keep quiet, as [VICTIM #1] was asleep on the couch. Brett then raised his voice, and eventually, [VICTIM #1] woke up, yelling at Brett. They both approached each other and began to hit each other.

[WITNESS #2] recalls [VICTIM #1] lost his balance and fell, and then [WITNESS #1] comes downstairs and sees both males fighting and pepper-sprays them. [WITNESS #2] indicated that Brett had scissors on him; however, she stated they were not used offensively towards [VICTIM #1]. She heard comments from Brett, yet she was unsure to whom they were directed.

Brett’s girlfriend, [WITNESS #3], advised that she saw both males fighting and intervened to separate them. She stated that no threats were made to [VICTIM #1], and she was unsure if she had seen Brett with scissors or not. [WITNESS #1] suddenly walks downstairs and sees both men fighting and sprays them.

[VICTIM #1] explained that he was asleep on the couch and heard yelling. He woke up and noticed [WITNESS #2] on the floor, and stood up, and Brett came at him and pushed him down, and began to get hit in the head. While getting hit, Brett directly tells him that he is going to kill him. Brett goes upstairs and grabs an item, and [WITNESS #1] notices the incident, pepper-spraying Brett in an attempt to prevent him from harming him.

Brett was not on the property when I arrived. Deputies searched for him in an attempt to locate him; however, they were unsuccessful in tracking him.

After speaking to all parties involved, I had established enough probable cause to secure arrest warrants on Brett for aggravated assault (Family violence), terroristic threats and acts (Family Violence)(Felony), and battery (Family violence), all pending his arrest.

Photos of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were taken on my body-worn camera. Metro EMS arrived to treat [VICTIM #1], who refused any treatment. The scissors used in the assault were located and placed into evidence.

A case number was given to [VICTIM #1], and he was instructed to call 911 if Brett returns.
