On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, I was dispatched to 300 Cherokee Place (Publix) in reference to a suspicious male who was yelling in front of the store. Upon arrival, contact was made with the unknown male in front of the address.
I observed the male yelling with vulgar language in he public eye. When I approached the male, he began to walk away from me and started walking towards Sgt. Blackstock, who had just arrived on the scene. The male then began to attempt to walk around Sgt. Blackstock, and as the male was told to stop, he became belligerent and started grabbing Sgt. Blackstock’s vest. The male became physical, and a physical altercation ensued. Sgt. Blackstock attempted to gain control of the male by his left arm, and I was able to grab the male’s right arm and initiate a leg sweep to gain control of the male, and escorted the male to the ground in a swift motion. Once the male was on the ground, Officer M.J. Cole, who was off-duty with the Marietta Police Department, assisted in gaining control of the male’s hands and placing the male in handcuffs. While searching the male, a wallet was located in his pants pocket, and a Georgia driver’s license was located inside. The male was identified as Mr. Cedric Lisasi. Mr. Lisasi began to yell again, telling officers to kill him.
Mr. Lisasi was placed into handcuffs, double locked, and checked for proper fitment.
Mr. Lisasi was searched incident to arrest with no contraband being located on his person.
Mr. Lisasi was placed into the back of Officer Clanton’s patrol vehicle and transported to the Bartow County Jail. Mr. Lisasi continued to be beligerant with the jail staff and was placed into an isolation cell. Officer Clanton’s patrol vehicle is searched before and after each shift and before and after each transport, with no contraband located.
Officer Cole with the Marietta Police Department stated that as he was exiting his vehicle, he could hear Mr. Lisasi shouting and stating he would kill multiple people. Officer Cole stated he observed the male pointing and yelling at multiple individuals who were exiting the store. Officer Cole observed me and Sgt. Blackstock was involved in the physical altercation and came to help get Mr. Lisasi under control.
Mr. Lisasi was issued a Criminal Trespass warning for 300 Cherokee Place (Publix). A copy of the CTW is attached to this electronic case file.
Mr. Lisasi was charged with 3 counts of Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers and Disorderly Conduct.
