On March 29th, 2025 at 2222 hours I was dispatched to 1325 Cassville Rd, Cartersville, Georgia at the business of Tarasco’s in reference to a intoxicated person. While on the way to the call I was informed by dispatch that the intoxicated subject was trying to engage in a fight with employees of a business.
Upon arrival I was pointed to a subject who was later Identified as Chase Coker. Chase was located on the patio of the business and I asked him to come over to my car. Chase responded with, “no.” To which point I then had to grab Chase, by grabbing his right arm and the back of his shirt, and escort him to my vehicle. Chase resisted me, by tensing up and me having to move his body weight. I placed him in handcuffs and detained him. Once Chase was detained, I explained to him my reasoning for detaining him. Chase began to back up away from the car and again told him to stay at the car, I then had to place my hands on Chase again, by grabbing his right arm and force him to the car to where he was placed in the rear seat of my patrol car. Chase was then read his Miranda warnings, Chase stated he understood his rights and wished to speak with me. When I question chase to what happen, he replied with, “this seems like law suite territory.”
I then spoke with the manager of Tarasco’s, [WITNESS #1], to which he stated that Chase came into the restaurant intoxicated. [WITNESS #1] stated he was trying to pick fights with the customers and stated to a customer, “nice hair cut,” [WITNESS #1] stated the customer was bald and took offense to it. [WITNESS #1] stated that Chase went to the back patio and stated to several females that he was out for wh*res and getting drunk. [WITNESS #1] stated that he had his bartenders cut him off of alcoholic beverages after one beer was served to him. [WITNESS #1] stated he asked chase to leave several times to which Chase replied back with, if you call the cops they will just take me home. [WITNESS #1] stated that he wanted Chase to be Criminally Trespassed from the property.
I then placed chase under arrest. Chase was given a notice of a criminal trespass warning from the property and a paper copy was filed. Chase was transported to Bartow Jail, while in intake at the jail chase began banging his head on the wall and was taken to suicide watch by jail staff.
Due to Chase being intoxicated in a public area and causing a disturbance by using profound language and attempting to instigate a fight. I secured warrants for Chase for Disorderly Conduct. Chase then did not comply with a lawful command and resisted me by tensing up and using his body weight to anchor himself, I secured a warrant for Obstruction on Law Enforcement.
