On this date, 07/15/2026, I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] 2nd Street in reference to a domestic dispute. While en route to the residence, I was advised by dispatch that the suspect was threatening to kill the complainant and was in possession of a firearm. Upon arriving in the area, I located the complainant, [VICTIM #1], inside her vehicle, a Blue Hyundai Elantra, GA tag# [REDACTED].
Due to the reported seriousness of this call for service, several Bartow County Sheriff’s Deputies came to my assistance. While I was speaking with [VICTIM #1], I observed the front door of the trailer opening and shutting. Because of this, I stopped speaking with [VICTIM #1] and drew my department-issued service weapon, holding it at a low ready. I then utilized a handheld flashlight to illuminate the front door.
I then observed the suspect, David Allmon, standing halfway out of the front door with one arm concealed inside of the residence. I instructed David to bring both hands into sight. David reentered the residence, failing to comply with instructions. David then exited the residence a short time later with both hands empty and visible. David then complied with instructions and was detained without further incident. I was later informed that Bartow County Deputies completed a protective sweep of the residence due to the serious nature of this call for service and observed at least two firearms in plain view inside of the residence.
After David was safely detained, I returned to speak with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] had previously advised dispatch she was diabetic and having blood sugar issues. [VICTIM #1] was then seen by Firefighters. While she was being seen by firefighters, she provided me with her cell phone that had 12 minutes of the incident. I began watching the video for the first approximately 8 minutes; there is much bickering back and forth over a vape/e-cigarette. It should be noted that David is 18 years old and not legally allowed to possess the said vape they were arguing over. At approximately minute 9 of the video, David is heard stating, ” I will kill you” towards [VICTIM #1]. In the video, I observed that a flashlight was pointed in [VICTIM #1]’s direction.
[VICTIM #1] informed me that the flashlight was attached to David’s firearm. It should be noted that while both David and [VICTIM #1] were bickering over a vape/e-cigarette; nothing said by [VICTIM #1] would warrant having a firearm pointed at her, or David stating that he would kill her. [VICTIM #1] made it clear that she feared for her safety because of David’s actions while I was speaking with her. Given this information, David was found to be the predominant aggressor for this incident and placed under arrest. David claimed that [VICTIM #1] had a needle; however, this is not seen in the video. [VICTIM #1] was provided with resources and instructions on how to apply for a TPO and instructions for the eviction process.
David was transported to the Bartow County Jail without further incident. Warrants were obtained for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon (FVA) and Terroristic Threats (FVA).
David’s firearm was not recovered during this incident due to staffing issues keeping me from applying for and serving a search warrant for the residence and David’s bedroom to recover said firearm.
