On Wednesday March 12th, 2025 at approximately 1946 hours I was dispatched to [1000 BLOCK] Park Place Dr Cartersville, GA in reference to a domestic dispute. I arrived on scene and made contact with complainant [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated he arrived home from work and his wife Desirae Bailey was intoxicated and was yelling and screaming at him while using abusive/vulgar language. [VICTIM #1] tried calming her down while he cooked but she would not stop. [VICTIM #1] went outside to look for his phone briefly and when he returned to the front door it was locked. He claimed he was unsure where his keys to the house were at the time and may have possibly been on his person. He explained he was in a hurry to get back inside because Desirae had threatened to kill his dog. He explained that before he walked outside she has a metal skewer in her hand which might be used as a weapon on the dog. In the midst of the stress and concern after finding the door locked he immediately knocked out a window to gain access back into the home.

[VICTIM #1] was finally able to find his phone and removed his two children from the home. [VICTIM #1] drove up the street a few houses down and called 911. He then turned around and waited for deputies to arrive while sitting in his driveway. I arrived on seen and he explained the situation and stated he did not know Desirae’s location and also claimed she was suicidal. The house was cleared and Desirae could not be located. At the time I had no probable cause to take a warrant on either subject. There was no evidence suggesting Desirae purposefully locked the door to interfere with [VICTIM #1]’ access to the home. Also [VICTIM #1] did not knock on the door or allow a reasonable amount of time for Desirae to answer the door before breaking the window. At the time both parties were separated and all units went back in service.

At approximately 2118 hours [VICTIM #1] called 911 again stating Desirae was back home and making suicidal threats. I arrived and made contact with Desirae who was clearly in distress. She was crying, cursing, yelling and not making any sense. Desirae seemed to be under the influence of alcohol and/or suffering from mental illness as I could not reason with her or have a civil conversation without her raising her voice and speaking in circles. I asked Desirae several times how I could help her and what she needed to help her calm down from the argument and she refused to answer my questions. Desirae began insulting me and verbally berating me at which time I decided there was nothing I could offer her further as she refused to speak civilly and refused EMS. All deputies went back in service.

At approximately 2148 hours [VICTIM #1] called 911 once more stating Desirae was attempting to take the kids and leave in the vehicle. Upon arrival [VICTIM #1] and Desirae were in a heated argument in the living room. Both parties were clearly upset and Desirae would not calm down to speak with me civilly and constantly yelled over my voice. I noticed the neighbors outside next door at box number [1000 BLOCK] Park Place Drive. The homeowner [WITNESS #1], her 12 year old daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] as well as their neighbors from [1000 BLOCK] Park Place were gathered near the front porch. As a group they all stated they had heard Desirae screaming and cussing constantly since 911 was first called.

I spoke directly to [WITNESS #1] who stated she could hear screaming and cursing from next door but couldn’t provide any direct quotes. Twelve year old [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she heard Desirae state “give me the fu*king kids”, followed by “I’ll fu*king kill you [VICTIM #1] and the kid’s [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] The same statement was corroborated by Neighbors [WITNESS #2] and [WITNESS #3] who live at [1000 BLOCK] Park Place Drive. [WITNESS #2] and [WITNESS #3]’s two daughters [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also heard the threat made. [VICTIM #1] stated he could not recall the specific threats made by Desirae but did state she threatened him earlier in the evening.

I decided based on the several neighbors statements that probable cause existed for Felony Terroristic Threats FVA warrants X3 for each victim ([VICTIM #1], [REDACTED BY AGENCY]) Desirae was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to the Bartow County Jail and handed over to jail staff.
