Officer’s Narrative:

On September 10th, 2026 around 1438 hours I was dispatched to [20 BLOCK] Waters Edge Dr Acworth, Ga 30102 in reference to a domestic in progress. The caller, [VICTIM #1] stated his brother was hurting everyone and he cut someone.

Once on scene I spoke with [VICTIM #2], who stated his son Eric is severely autistic and was having a mental episode. [VICTIM #2] stated, Eric no longer had the knife and was in the kitchen with an injury.

In the kitchen I located Eric who was sitting down with his mother [VICTIM #3] and Aunt [VICTIM #4]. [VICTIM #3] was tending to a large cut on Eric’s right leg, Fire and EMS then arrived on scene to render aid.

Due to Eric’s mental state and the fact that he was currently calm, I spoke with [VICTIM #4] while EMS was providing aid to Eric.

[VICTIM #4], Eric’s Aunt who lives with the rest of the family, stated that Eric became very irate and violent due to not being able to go with her to the vet. She stated he began to take pictures off the wall and throw them on the ground. She stated that with all of the yelling and glass breaking, Eric’s father came out to see what was wrong. [VICTIM #4] stated once [VICTIM #2] attempted to calm Eric down, Eric became even more irate. [VICTIM #4] then stated Eric retrieved a knife from the kitchen while making statements that he was going to kill [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #4] said [VICTIM #2], [VICTIM #3] and her were then attacked by Eric with a knife. During this [VICTIM #4] sustained a sever laceration to her right hand. EMS recommended [VICTIM #4] go to the hospital for stitches, [VICTIM #4] refused to be transported by EMS. Photos were taken of [VICTIM #4]’s injuries.

I then spoke with [VICTIM #3], Eric’s mother. She stated that she observed Eric taking pictures off the wall and throw them. She then observed Eric hit [VICTIM #2] with a picture causing a cut to [VICTIM #2]’s forehead. After this she was cut on the left arm twice by Eric with a knife. [VICTIM #3] stated while Eric was getting the knife he made statements that he was going to kill [VICTIM #2].

[VICTIM #2], Eric’s father, stated he heard a lot of yelling when he came to see what was wrong. When he came into the living room area, he was hit over the head with a picture by Eric. This caused [VICTIM #2] to be cut on the head and fall to the ground. While on the ground [VICTIM #2] stated he was kicking Eric in an attempt to get away. While kicking him, Eric sustained a deep cut to the right leg. [VICTIM #2] stated Eric then retrieved a knife from the kitchen while stated he was going to kill [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #2] was then attacked with the knife, [VICTIM #2] was cut by the knife on the arm along with the armpit area of his shirt. [VICTIM #2] said they were eventually able to get the knife away from Eric. [VICTIM #2] valued the broken frame at $25.

[VICTIM #1], Eric’s brother, stated he got scared because Eric was throwing things so he locked himself in the bedroom. While calling 911, [VICTIM #1] stated Eric was attempting to break the door down to hurt him. [VICTIM #1] stated he was scared Eric was going to cause him serious injury.

All injuries and damage was recorded on Body Camera via photo. Eric was taken into custody without incident. I transported him to Piedmont Hospital due to EMS recommending stitches to his leg. Once cleared by a doctor, Eric was transported and booked into the Bartow County Jail. Eric is charged with Agg. Assault X3, Agg. Battery, Terroristic Threats (F), Battery, Simple Assault, and Criminal Trespass. All involved parties live in the same household.

Arrest Warrants were secured and served.
