On Monday, May 25, 2026, at 0236 hours, I was dispatched to [REDACTED], for a physical domestic dispute in progress.

On arrival, I was greeted by the victim/911 caller, [VICTIM #1], who communicated to me that his girlfriend, Estefany Sanchez, had been physical with him a few minutes prior.

I spoke to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] through the bedroom door and identified myself, yet she refused to come out. She made comments through the door that she would kill herself. [VICTIM #1] located messages on Estefany where she talked “dirty” to a male, and he instructed her to block the number. She got upset and began to make suicidal comments to harm herself. She grabbed a blade and cut her arms, and at this point, [VICTIM #1] proceeds to take the blade away, and Estefany begins to scratch and bite [VICTIM #1] on the arms and torso. He then exits the bedroom, and she locks herself in the room with their child, [REDACTED].

I observed scratch marks on [VICTIM #1]’s right bicep and both forearms. Photos of his injuries were taken with my body-worn camera.

Estefany told Deputy Carrington, after being read Miranda rights and agreeing to speak, that she and [VICTIM #1] had gotten into an argument about their relationship, and [VICTIM #1] started pushing and getting in her face. He called her a wh*re, and she said she lost it and started hitting, scratching, and biting him. [VICTIM #1] again called her a who*e, which triggered her, and she said she started hitting him because he was in her face. She went to the bathroom to take anxiety medicine, yet she was not going to kill herself by taking pills. She did say that she was suicidal several times while in the presence of Deputy Carrington.

After speaking to [VICTIM #1] and seeing his injuries, I had established enough probable cause to arrest Estefany for Battery (Family Violence), Cruelty to Children 3rd degree (Family Violence), and two counts of Felony Obstruction.

Estefany was transported to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, where she was deferred to Piedmont Cartersville Hospital, where another deputy stood by until she was discharged.
