On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at approximately 2106 hours, I was dispatched to a fight in progress at 910 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy (EL DORADO). While in route to the scene, dispatch advised that a short black female in black clothing was hitting a black male with a pink shirt on.

I arrived on scene and entered the bar. Immediately I was approached by a intoxicated female who matched the description given by dispatch. The female, later identified as Gabreil Ballard, stated “You remember me”. I did recognize Ms. Ballard from a prior call in regard to a domestic disturbance that occurred approximately two weeks prior.

I left Ms. Ballard with Officer A.T Davis and observed two males (One in a pink shirt) leaving the bar via back door. I caught up to the male in the pink shirt and observed it was Victim 1. I had knowledge of Victim from a previous domestic disturbance between Victim 1 and Ms. Ballard.

At the time of my last encounter with Ms. Ballard and Victim 1, they were living together, for approximately three months, at [100 BLOCK] Overlook Pkwy (Unknown apt. #) and having relations. Ms. Ballard and Victim 1 ended that relationship and Ms. Ballard moved out of their apartment.

I asked Victim 1, who was also visibly intoxicated, what happened at the bar tonight. Victim 1 sated that he did not want to pursue criminal charges against Ms. Ballard. Victim 1 was unwilling to give much detail regarding the events that transpired at the bar. But did confirm that Ms. Ballard was striking him in the bar.

Mr. [WITNESS #1], who is friends with both parties stated that Ms. Ballard observed Victim 1 “hitting on” other female at the bar. Mr. [WITNESS #1] stated that Ms. Ballard became jealous and began slapping him on his face and head area.

I then spoke to the manager at the bar who initially called 911. The manager, Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated that Ms. Ballard observed Victim 1 “hitting on” another female (Mr. [WITNESS #2] girlfriend) at the bar. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated that Ms. Ballard became jealous and began slapping him on his face and head area. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated that he told Ms. [BALLARD] to leave the bar. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated that Ms. [BALLARD] refused to leave the establishment. A Criminal Trespass Warning (CTW) was issued per the managers request.

Officer Davis, who was speaking with Ms. Ballard about the incident, stated that Ms. Ballard advised him that she was ready to leave the bar. Ms. Ballard advised that Victim 1 told her that he was not ready to leave the bar. Ms. Ballard stated that she then hit Victim 1. Ms. Ballard then refused to continue speaking to Officer Davis.

I arrested Ms. Ballard by placing her in hand cuffs, behind her back, double locking them and checking for proper fit. I searched Ms. Ballard for contraband and found none. I placed Ms. Ballard in the rear seat of my department issued, marked patrol car. My patrol vehicle has been searched prior to and after each transport with no contraband found. I read Ms. Ballard her Miranda Warning. Ms. Ballard stated that she did not want to speak with me. I transported Ms. Ballard to the Bartow County jail where she was turned over to jail staff.

I later secured warrants for Disorderly Conduct (CE-0173343) and Simple Battery (FVA) (CE-0173344). A Polaris link was sent to Mr. [WITNESS #2] for any video evidence that is available.
