On Friday, March 22, 2025 at 2133 hours I was dispatched to [30 BLOCK] River Birch Road NW, Cartersville, GA, 30121 in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a gun shot.

Upon arrival I met with Glenda Wilson. Glenda stated she and her boyfriend, [VICTIM #1] had been playing cards in their garage when they began arguing about their relationship. Glenda said that their argument escalated, but did not get physical, and that neither party pulled a gun on one another or fired a gun at any point.

When I spoke with [VICTIM #1] he stated that the argument in the garage between he and Glenda escalated, and Glenda got a gun out of the back room in their basement, and pointed it at him. [VICTIM #1] said during his attempt to take the gun from Glenda by twisting it out of her grip, the gun accidentally fired, because Glenda had her finger on the trigger. [VICTIM #1] then took the gun from Glenda and had his neighbor, [WITNESS #1], take possession of it until law enforcement arrived. [WITNESS #1] placed the gun behind his vehicle on the driveway at [30 BLOCK] River Birch Road, Cartersville, GA, 30121.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that he was outside his home working on his car and heard Glenda and [VICTIM #1] arguing. During the argument he heard [VICTIM #1] say “get the gun out of my face” and shortly after heard a gun shot.

I then met with [VICTIM #1]’s son, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he saw [VICTIM #1] and Glenda arguing in the garage and witnessed Glenda throw several things at [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said as the argument escalated both [VICTIM #1] and Glenda went outside the garage where Glenda pulled a gun, and pointed it at [VICTIM #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated [VICTIM #1] tried taking the gun from Glenda, and while they were fighting over the gun they accidentally shot it.

I then spoke with Glenda’s daughter [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] stated she heard [VICTIM #1] and Glenda arguing and could hear things being thrown in the garage. [WITNESS #2] heard [VICTIM #1] tell Glenda to “get the gun out of my face” and then heard a gun shot.

Shortly after arriving I located a spent .380 casing outside of Glenda and [VICTIM #1]’s garage, in the area all parties confirmed the argument took place. The .380 cartridge and pistol were collected to be submitted into evidence. Photos were taken of this spent casing with my body worn camera.

Glenda was placed under arrest in handcuffs to the rear, placed in the rear seat of a patrol vehicle, and transported to the Bartow County jail where she was turned over to jail staff without further incident.

Warrants have been secured for Glenda for : aggravated assault – gun (FVA), cruelty to children (3rd degree) – FVA, and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of certain felonies.
