On Monday, January 19, 2026, at approximately 1655 hours, I was dispatched to 9 S Gilmer St (Massage Time Body & Foot) in reference to an assault that just occurred. Once on scene, I was able to locate the victim and a witness.
Due to Victim not being able to speak English, Witness was able to translate for us. Victim stated that a man, later identified as Mr. Jaiden Walraven, entered the business and asked her to go to a room. Victim entered the first massage room in front of Mr. Walraven, and when she turned around, Mr. Walraven had produced a knife. Victim did not provide any details at this time regarding the knife’s description. Victim stated Mr. Walraven told her to “not talk”, and he then turned to lock the door. However, the interior doors at Massage Time do not have a lock on them.
Victim stated that at this point, she yelled for Witness and attempted to grab the door handle. As she reached for the handle, Mr. Walraven grabbed her, and during this action, the knife cut her hand. Immediately afterward, Witness grabbed the door handle of the first massage room door, causing it to open. Victim then ran to the front entrance of the building and proceeded onto the street. Mr. Walraven is observed on video security footage running out of the business behind Victim and on to the street. Victim and Witness stated Mr. Walraven immediately ran to his vehicle. At this time, they were able to observe the last three digits (122) of a “tan-like color vehicle” four-door sedan. This information was immediately relayed to other Cartersville Police Officers.
Witness stated that other massage parlors in the area provide each other with information on customers who have done questionable things at their places of business. Witness stated that not long ago, she received a warning from a separate business about a man resembling the suspect in this case (a y oung white male, tall, and normal build). The parlor stated the individual in their incident had attempted to do something similar, and the parlor provided the phone number of the individual involved [REDACTED BY AGENCY] associated with this suspect.
I was able to relay this information to other Cartersville Police Officers at this time. During this time, Ofc. Wornell had found a vehicle bearing the GA Tag [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on our Flock camera systems, which returned to a Gray 2013 Chrysler 200 that was in the area at the time of this incident. The registered owner of this vehicle was Mr. [REDACTED]. Ofc. Wornell also put the phone number xxx-xxx-xxxx into GCIC/NCIC, which returned to a Jaiden Walraven.
I was able to review video footage of the incident due to Witness having access to the cameras on her phone. In the video it show a white male wearing a blue/gray jacket and blue jeans enter the door. After entering he turns to the entrance door and attempts to lock it, and after, he approaches Victim who escorts him to the first massage room. Once they entered the massage room Mr. Walraven closes the door, and for a brief amount of time there is no commotion in the room. After that brief amount of time you can hear Victim scream, and you see Witness run from the rear of the business to the front massage room and open the door. It’s at this point where you can see Victim run out of the first massage room and out of the business on to the street. Mr. Walraven is observed running behind Victim on to the street as well.
Mr. Walraven’s identification card picture matched the business’s security footage of the suspect on scene at the time of the incident. A be on the lookout (BOLO) was issued at this time for Mr. Walraven and his gray 2013 Chrysler 200, and a ping was obtained for his phone number through Bartow County Dispatch. Mr. Walraven was later located by Bartow County Deputies near the City of Euharlee and was taken into custody. Sgt. A. Belcher from the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office contacted me regarding the incident. He stated that during the arrest search of the vehicle, deputies located a knife inside; however, upon inspection, the knife did not have any visible blood on it and showed no immediate indications of having been used in the assault, according to Sgt. Belcher’s assessment at that time.
Mr. Walraven was taken to 104 Zena Dr (BCSO) at this time by Deputies on scene. Warrants were obtained for Mr. Walraven’s arrest for Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon (WNO CE-0178592) and Kidnapping (WNO CE-0178593). On call CID was notified, responded, and took over the scene.
