On November 5th, 2025 at 2350 hours I responded to [100 BLOCK] Overlook Pkwy at the Prose apartment complex to investigate a dispute. The caller stated she needed a male removed from her apartment. I arrived on scene with Officer Hawley and we met with one of the callers. She was identified as [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] advised she has two homes one in Kennesaw and another at the Prose apartments. She advised she normally does not stay at this residence but her daughter Jammie Ware does.

Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised at the start of September, her daughter allowed a male to move into the apartment with her. She advised the male roommate, [VICTIM #1] paid Ms. Ware $500 to stay in the apartment. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised, Mr. [VICTIM #1] was only supposed to stay for seven days but now it has been two months. She stated other officers have came to the apartment and told her she could not just kick the male out of the apartment. She stated her daughter Ms. Ware was trying to get a restraining order against Mr. [VICTIM #1], due to an on going sexual assault case.

I advised Ms. [WITNESS #1] and her daughter Ms. Ware they were correct and I could not just kick Mr. [VICTIM #1] out of the apartment. I stated he is a resident of apartment [REDACTED] and they would have to file an evection or try and get the restraining order signed. I stated they did not have to leave but advised it would be in all parties best interest. Ms. [WITNESS #1] and Ms. Ware advised they agreed and advised they would leave. Ms. Ware asked Officer Hawley if she would get a bookbag from the apartment so she could go to her mother’s house in Kennesaw. Officer Hawley got the bag and delivered it to Ms. Ware. Officer Hawley and I then left the scene.

On November 6, 2025, at 0051 hours Mr. [VICTIM #1] call Bartow County Emergency Services. He advised he was just attacked in the apartment by a male and Ms. Ware. He stated he had been stabbed with a knife. Mr. [VICTIM #1] stated Ms. Ware and a male were leaving the complex. Due to me just being at the complex I knew the vehicle Ms. Ware was operating. While entering onto E Main St from I-75, I observed a tan Dodge Durango traveling East on E. Main St.

I then got behind the vehicle and activated my blue lights. The car pulled over into a gas station at 1340 E Main St. I had the driver step out of the vehicle. The driver was Ms. [WITNESS #1], I then instructed the passenger to step out of the car. The passenger was Ms. Ware. I then had the two female sit on the curb once I had patted them down. Soon Officer Alfonso arrived on scene with me. Once the females were secure, we had the backseat passenger exit the car. He was identified as [WITNESS #2]. I patted down Mr. [WITNESS #2] for any weapons then had him sit next to the females on the curb. I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] the operator of the vehicle if I could search the car. She gave me verbal consent to search the car.

While searching the car I located a large knife with a black handle laying in the rear passenger floor. The blade on the knife had blood all over it. Once I witnessed the weapon I walked over to all three individuals and placed them in handcuffs. They were handcuffed behind the back. The handcuffs were checked for equal spacing and were double locked. I placed Ms. Ware in the backseat of my patrol car. Mr. [WITNESS #2] and Ms. [WITNESS #1] were both placed in the rear seats of Officer Alfonso’s patrol car.

Once the vehicle was searched again for any other items used in the attack I began my interview investigation with Mr. [WITNESS #2]. I had him exit the patrol car and speak with me. I stated since he was in handcuffs before I could ask him any I needed to read him his Miranda Rights. Once I finished reading him his rights Mr. [WITNESS #2] agreed to speak with me. I asked Mr. [WITNESS #2] if he could walk me through the events that took place inside apartment [REDACTED].

Mr. [WITNESS #2] advised when Officer Hawley and I left the scene, Ms. Ware stated she needed another bag from inside the apartment. He stated he went with her due to Ms. Ware and Mr. [VICTIM #1] not getting along. He advised when they got into the apartment, Mr. [VICTIM #1] opened the door for them but he had one hand behind his back. He advised they walked in and Mr. [VICTIM #1] went and stood in the kitchen. He stated Ms. Ware then went to her bedroom and grabbed the bag she was looking for. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated while Ms. Ware was in her bedroom Mr. [VICTIM #1] became rowdy. He advised he was yelling cussing and then got in his face.

He advised Mr. [VICTIM #1] then grabbed him by his clothing, and tried to take him to the ground. He stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] was trying to fight him but he kept asking him what is he doing. He advised they got on the ground and Mr. [VICTIM #1] pulled his hood over his head. He stated during the fight Mr. [VICTIM #1] let go of him. Mr. [WITNESS #2] advised when he pulled the hood off his head he observed Ms. Ware standing behind Mr. [VICTIM #1] with a knife. He stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] than ran into the kitchen behind Ms. Ware and grabbed a knife. Mr. [WITNESS #2] stated he grabbed Ms. Ware’s bag and they ran outside to the car. I asked how the knife with blood on it was found where he was sitting. He stated he did not know. I then placed him back in the patrol car.

I walked over to my car where I interviewed Ms. Ware. I advised her of Miranda Rights and asked if she would speak to me. She stated she would. I asked Ms. Ware to explain what happened after I left her earlier that evening. She advised she did not want to leave because her job is closer to this apartment. She stated she then went to the apartment to grab her suitcase. She advised, she told her mother to wait for her in case anything happened between her and Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Ms. Ware advised Mr. [WITNESS #2] came with her to the apartment to grab her suitcase. She advised when she entered the apartment Mr. [VICTIM #1] was holding a knife behind his back. She stated he then dropped the knife and she picked it up. She stated she never stabbed him with anything.

She advised the knife was under his shirt which he was hiding behind his back. I stated to her you knew the man had a knife behind his back and was becoming aggressive toward you, yet you still went inside the apartment. She advised she did. I asked why did she not call 911 to make sure nothing happened. She advised he was not dumb enough to do anything with a knife. She stated Mr. [VICTIM #1] wants her to stay with her.

I asked her what she did once she had the knife Mr. [VICTIM #1] dropped and had her bag. She stated she then left the apartment. I asked when did Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. [WITNESS #2] get into a physical fight with each other. She stated she did not see anything due to her being in the room grabbing her bag. Ms. Ware advised she did not touch no one or anything. She advised she only grabbed her bag and left. I asked if she could explain to me why the knife located in the car was covered in blood. I asked if she knows how Mr. [VICTIM #1] got a large cut on his back. She advised she does not know because she did not stab Mr. [VICTIM #1].

I then went and spoke to Ms. [WITNESS #1] to hear her side of the story. I asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] what occurred when I left her and Ms. Ware at the Prose apartments. She stated when we left her daughter Ms. Ware said she was going back up to the apartment to grab a bag. Ms. [WITNESS #1] told her not to go up there. She stated, she would come back tomorrow and grab all the property out of the apartment. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated her daughter told her to wait for her and she would be right back. She stated while her daughter went back to the apartment she stayed in the car.

Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised she was on the phone with a friend when she was her daughter walking fast back toward the car. She stated Ms. Ware was holding something black in her hand. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated she thought it was some type of plastic bag. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised when Ms. Ware got into their car she reached her arms behind the seat like she was placing something in the back. She stated her daughters friend Mr. [WITNESS #2] got into the car. Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised her daughter looked at her and said lets go.

Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated she then placed the car in drive and left the apartment complex. She stated while driving that’s when I pulled in behind her and pulled her over. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated her daughter or Mr. [WITNESS #2] said anything about what happened in the apartment. Due to all the evidence and statements made. I placed Ms. Ware under arrest. I collected the large knife in the backseat to be placed into evidence.

I transported Ms. Ware to Bartow County ADC. She was handed over to intake personal without incident. I later returned to the a Cartersville Police Department where I took a warrant out for Jammie Ware. She was charged with once count of aggravated assault. Warrant CE-01777350 was granted by a Bartow County Judge. The knife used in the incident was placed into evidence at the Police Department.
