Jeremy Pharis Child Cruelty Incident Report

Jeremy Pharis was arrested on February 16, 2020 for First Degree Cruelty to Child – Cause Excessive Physical/Mental Pain. This incident took place at the 20 block of Cantrell Lane in Cartersville, Georgia.

On Sunday February 16, 2020 at 0028 hours, I was dispatched to [REDACTED] Cantrell lane Cartersville, GA in reference to a Domestic.

Upon Arrival I spoke with [REDACTED] was frantic and crying said that he and his dad, Jeremy Pharis, had just got into a fight. [REDACTED] said the verbal arguing started in their barn on the property, and went out into the front yard.

Jeremy tackled [REDACTED] and grabed the back of his hair and started slamming his head on the ground. Jeremy started hitting his back as [REDACTED] turned around to get back up.

Jeremy left the scene prior to my arrival.

I took pictures of [REDACTED] back and face and chest. There was red marks on his back and chest and face to prove his statement. [REDACTED]’s mother, [REDACTED] , arrived on scene, and was able to get Jeremy on the phone to inform him to return to the scene.

Jeremy said f**k you, take a f**king warrant out on me. While he was on speaker phone in an attempt to get his side of the story.

Jeremy arrived on scene just a little after the phone call, and got out of his vehicle and I placed him under arrest for Cruelty to Children in the 1st degree.
