On May 30, 2026 (Saturday) I was dispatched to [70 BLOCK] David Road, Cartersville, GA, in reference to a possible domestic dispute that was called in by a third party named [REDACTED].
According to what [REDACTED] relayed to dispatch, her friend / [VICTIM #1] was involved in a domestic with her boyfriend / Jordan Bryan. She advised that [VICTIM #1] had sent her a text about the two being involved in a physical altercation and sent her a picture of an injury [VICTIM #1] sustained to her arm.
Once I arrived on scene I made contact with [VICTIM #1] at the front door. I immediately noticed [VICTIM #1] had what appeared to be a small abrasion on her right forearm (near the bend of the arm) and she had red marking on her neck area. [VICTIM #1] appeared to be distraught and upset as we began to speak.
At this time [VICTIM #1] began to describe to me that Jordan had become upset because he didn’t feel good and wanted to go to the doctor, so she began to “pack up” her three children (7MNO, 2Y0, and 9Y0). Once they got into the car they initially left, but did not get far because her and Jordan began to argue so she returned home.
[VICTIM #1] advised once they returned home Jordan became more upset and began “degrading” her and arguing with her. She stated the two were in the living room area walking around and arguing. She stated all three of the kids went into the “playroom” just off the kitchen area and they were not present during the altercation.
She began to tell me both were arguing in the living room area. Jordan walked over towards the front door and started throwing / knocking things over. She stated she was standing next to the front porch windows as Jordan was standing by the door. [VICTIM #1] advised after Jordan threw the “shoe rack” he turned around and walked towards her and pushed her into the couch.
[VICTIM #1] stated when this happened she feel over the end of the couch and onto the sitting area of the couch. She then stated that is when Jordan climbed on top of her and was holding her down on the couch. She advised her face was initially pushed between the couch cushions and Jordan chest / stomach. She stated the only way she could get Jordan off was to bite him.
She advised once she bit Jordan, that is when he stopped holding her down and then grabbed her by the throat and began to choke her. At this time I asked [VICTIM #1] the following questions: “Did you feel lightheaded?” “Did you pass out?” “Did you experience pain, hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, or changes in your voice?”.
[VICTIM #1] responded with not feeling lightheaded, she did not pass out, she did have pain after wards, her throat felt “scratchy”, did not have difficulty swallowing, and her voice did appear to change. NOTE: While talking to [VICTIM #1] she began coughing several times, which she advised she was not having a issue with prior to being strangled.
According to [VICTIM #1] she did not know how long Jordan had a hold of her because everything happen so fast. She stated he eventually released her and then went into the “play room” and started talking to the kids telling them everything was “mommy’s fault”.
I then went into the residence I noticed a picture had fallen onto the floor, the “show rack” that [VICTIM #1] described to me was in disarray (not broken) and the shoes were all over the floor. I walked to the bedroom just off the living room where I made contact with Jordan, who was laying on the bed.
When I initially asked Jordan what took place between him and [VICTIM #1], he just stated they got into an argument because he wasn’t feeling good and wanted to go to the doctor. He advised [VICTIM #1] just began “going off on him”. He initially stated nothing physical happen between the two.
As I began to ask more questions Jordan appeared to get aggravated and started telling me their was a altercation and that [VICTIM #1] had bit him on the stomach (which he showed me a bite mark on the right side of his abdomen area). When I asked him how [VICTIM #1]’s mouth ended up in the area for him to get bit? Jordan advised he had to hold her down at one point because she was attacking him and wouldn’t stop coming after him. He further stated that [VICTIM #1] was following him around the living room area and kept getting in his face.
Jordan advised at one point [VICTIM #1] “chest bumped” him a few times and that is when he pushed her back. He stated when he pushed her away that is when she came at him and he felt like the only way to get her to stop was to hold her down on the couch. He stated at that point [VICTIM #1] bit him and he let her go. Jordan denied ever grabbing a hold of [VICTIM #1]’s throat.
At this time after talking to both parties and looking at all the injuries I determined that Jordan was the predominate aggressor and he was placed in handcuffs and advised he was under arrest. The handcuffs were checked for proper fit and Jordan was searched for weapons and contra band (which he had none).
Jordan was placed in the rear of my patrol car where he was then transported to The Bartow County Detention Center without incident.
Pictures of both parties injuries were taken using a body worn device.
I was able to speak with [VICTIM #1]’s oldest daughter (9Y0) who could only advised she heard [VICTIM #1] and Jordan arguing, but could tell anything else that took place. No charge of Cruelty to Children will be taken at this time.
I attempted several times to contact [REDACTED] to gather her information, but had no answer. [VICTIM #1] could only provide [REDACTED]’s first name at the time of the report.
[VICTIM #1] did mention that several months ago an physical incident took place in Rome, GA where Law Enforcement was called, however there was not enough to charge.
