On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at approximately 0313 hours, I was dispatched to [10 BLOCK] Fouche Drive, Cartersville, 30121 in reference to a possible trespassing. Upon arrival, I met with Ms. [VICTIM #1] and her [REDACTED BY AGENCY] son, Mr. [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Juvenile stated he was playing on his phone when he heard something creak and possible foot steps walking across the floor of the basement.

Juvenile [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he got up and walked into his mom’s room. He stated that when he opened the door, he rubbed against something and turned his phone around to use the screen to shine at the floor. He stated he then observed a male of unknown race wearing a black hoodie and black pants in the fetal position on the floor. He stated that he exited the room without making a noise, went upstairs, and advised his grandmother of the incident.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated they spoke with [REDACTED] for several minutes before calling. She stated the door was unlocked, but they locked it before walking upstairs. [VICTIM #1] stated they checked the area downstairs and did not find anything suspicious, other than that the outside gate was slightly open. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she has been going through a nasty divorce, and they believed it is possible her ex, Mr. Kevin Barnett.

I advised dispatch to set up an extra patrol for the residence.
