On Friday, October 24th, 2025, at approximately 1553 hours, I was dispatched to the Dollar General located at 5650 Third Army Road, Cartersville, GA 30101, in reference to a trespassing call.
Upon arrival, Deputy Clark and I entered the store and made contact with the complainant, identified as [WITNESS #1], an employee. [WITNESS #1] stated that the two suspects were located on aisle five.
As we approached the aisle, I immediately observed both suspects, later identified as Melissa Kirk and Ladonna Rogers, appearing visibly impaired. Both individuals had difficulty maintaining their balance and were unsteady on their feet. Melissa was hunched over and had urinated on herself, which was visible on the floor beneath her.
Due to their apparent level of impairment, Deputy Clark and I detained both suspects and escorted them outside to our patrol vehicles. EMS was requested to respond to the scene to evaluate both subjects for any potential medical concerns related to their condition.
EMS arrived on scene shortly after and medically cleared both individuals.
Due to the actions of both suspects inside the store, they were each issued Criminal Trespass Warnings and advised not to return to the property. I also placed both under arrest for Disorderly Conduct (County Ordiance Violation) based on their behavior, body language, and visible signs of impairment, including slurred speech and pinpoint pupils.
I issued both suspects citations, and Deputy Clark transported them to the Bartow County Detention Center without further incident.
