On September 11th, 2025, at approximately 1458 hours, I responded to the area of 25 Carson Loop, Cartersville, Ga 30121 in reference to a possible domestic dispute between a male and female near the woods. While en route, I was advised by Bartow County dispatch that the complainant stated the male had “racked” a gun and was threatening the female while walking into the woods.
Upon arrival, I met with Sgt. D. Gillman #940 and complainant [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] advised Sgt. Gillman that he observed the subject “rack” a firearm and was threatening to sexually assault an unidentified female. [WITNESS #1] advised Sgt. Gillman that the male was wearing black pants and a gray tank top. Deputies searched the area in an attempt to locate the male and female. Cpl. Belcher located a subject matching the clothing description behind the Chevron gas station.
The male subject was later identified as [REDACTED] and detained at this time. [REDACTED] was cooperative with deputies. While detaining [REDACTED], Cpl. Belcher also observed a white male fully unclothed lying down in the woods. Cpl. Belcher, along with other deputies, detained this male for further investigation. The male subject, who was later identified as Lester Desalvo, refused to identify himself to Cpl. Belcher. Lester also refused to provide me with his name or date of birth after being asked multiple times.
Detectives and Deputies utilized a drone in the area in an attempt to locate the female subject, but were unable to locate the female involved. Detectives were able to identify and obtain Lester’s information. I had Bartow dispatch run Lester by name and date of birth through GCIC, in which it was shown he had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Deputies Mirandized Lester, which refused to speak to deputies. Deputies Mirandized [REDACTED], to which he agreed to speak. Once it was found that [REDACTED] had no connection to the complaint, he was released from the scene.
I transported Lester to the Bartow County jail. While on the way to the jail, Lester began stating he was robbed and knocked out by multiple men who struck him with a stick. It should be noted that Lester still had multiple jewelry items on his person, such as a ring and gold colored chain necklace. Once at the jail, Lester was evaluated by the jail nurse. No marks were found on Lester, which would corroborate his statements of being attacked.
I obtained state warrants for Lester for Public indecency (appeared in a lewd state of complete nudity in a public place and in public view) and Obstruction of officer-misdemeanor (obstruct and hinder Deputy W. Giorgione and Cpl. Belcher in the lawful discharge of their official duties by refusing to give his name and date of birth).
[End of Narrative]
