On Friday, July 10, 2026, at approximately 0854 hours, I was dispatched to 183 W Main St (First Presbyterian Church) regarding a disorderly female. Upon arrival, I located the female at the entrance of the church, where parents were dropping off their children for vacation bible school.
Upon arrival, the female was yelling and behaving in an erratic manner, telling a court deputy that she would not speak with officers. When she stood up and attempted to leave, she was placed in handcuffs behind her back (checked for fit and double-locked). At this point, she became increasingly uncooperative, resisting officers’ attempts to place her in the rear of my marked patrol vehicle. When the rear door was opened, she pretended to pass out; as a result, I picked her up and secured her in the back seat. Ms. James was frisked to the best of the officers’ ability at the scene and did not appear to have any weapons or contraband.
While in custody, the female continued to shout statements such as, “I am married to Jesus,” “Y’all are arresting me because I can’t have kids,” and claimed, “Jesus gave me the meth.” Before leaving the scene, she was identified as Ms. Lisa James. Ms. James was transported to 104 Zena Dr (BCSO), remaining irate throughout the transport.
Upon arrival at BCSO, Ms. James had to be forcefully removed from my vehicle by jail staff. Jail staff were notified of the limited search conducted at the scene and subsequently confirmed that Ms. James did not have any contraband. Due to her uncooperative behavior, Ms. James was issued a trespass warning after being placed in a cell.
Warrants were obtained for Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer. My issued marked patrol unit was checked before and after transport and was negative for contraband.
