[NARRATIVE #1 on September 24, 2025]
On 09-24-2025 I, Detective Desai with Adairsville Police Department (Criminal Investigation Division) met with Detective Allen (Dalton Police Department) in reference to an identity theft.
Detective Allen advised that he was conducting an identity theft investigation and provided me with the facts of the case. During his investigation, Detective Allen discovered that the suspect who was using the victim’s identity was currently employed at Shaw Plant T1 located at 7195 GA 140, Adairsville GA 30103. I advised Detective Allen that I would take over the case.
On 09-25-2025 I contacted the victim [VICTIM #1] who stated that she was advised by the auditor that she was not qualified for aid due to employment at Shaw Industries beginning on 06-11-2024. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she has never worked for Shaw or been in State of Georgia. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that someone had used her identifying information to gain employment at Shaw Industries. Ms. [VICTIM #1] further stated that around 1999 she had lost identity documents, this occurred in Texas.

[NARRATIVE #2 on October 14, 2025]
On 10-14-2025 I, Detective Desai, identified the suspect as Lissy Karin Ixcot De Leon who had used the victim’s [VICTIM #1] name and social security number to obtain employment at Shaw Plant T1 located at 7195 GA-140, Adairsville GA 30103. The suspect began working at Plant T1 on 06-11-2024 and resigned on 10-02-2025. It was confirmed that the suspect resided at [REDACTED BY AGENCY]
At approximately 2:47 p.m. I, Detective Desai, applied for arrest warrants against Lissy Karin Ixcot De Leon. The arrest warrants were approved by the Bartow County Magistrate Judge Bryson.
At approximately 4:45 p.m. Detective Nesbitt and I along with Detective Guzman and Detective Moore (Floyd County Police Department) arrived at [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Rome GA 30165. Upon arriving at the residence, Detective Guzman knocked on the front door of the residence and it was answered by Hispanic female who identified herself as Lissy Karin Ixcot De Leon and stated that she did not speak English. Detective Guzman communicated with Ms. Ixcot in Spanish. Detective Guzman read Miranda Warnings right to Ms. Ixcot in Spanish language. Ms. Ixcot stated that she did not realize she was using someone else’s identification while employed at Plant T1, and refuse to provide any further details.
Ms. Ixcot was placed under arrest for the above charges. Detective Guzman and Detective Moore transported Ms. Ixcot to a Gas Station located at the corner of Hwy 53 @ Hwy 140 where we met with Officer Franz (Adairsville Police Department). Ms. Ixcot was transported to the Bartow County Jail by Officer Franz.
