On Wednesday, September 24 2025, at approximately 1127 hours, I was dispatched to 1 Friendship Plaza (Cartersville Train Depot) in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Upon my arrival contact was made with the suspect Mr. Mark Macke, who was reported to have been in an altercation with his girlfriend. Mr. Macke was then separated from his girlfirend in order to obtain individual accounts of what had occurred.

Immediately upon this separation, Mr. Macke became very irate, and began balling his fists, establishing an aggressive posture, and shouting profanities as well as racial slurs. Mr. Macke was then advised to cease the profanities and to lower his volume or he would be placed under arrest.

Mr. Macke initially complied with my instructions to lower his volume and cease the profanities. Moments later, Mr. Macke began yelling and using obscene language again, yelling “These fu*king spicks don’t know how to mind their own business!” Due to the nature of Mr. Macke’s statements, and the prior direction to cease given the decision was made to take Mr. Macke into custody.

At this time Mr. Macke was placed under arrest, he was handcuffed with both hands behind his back, the handcuffs were then checked for proper fit and double locked to ensure no further tightening. Mr. Macke was then escorted to my department issued patrol vehicle, at which point he remained verbal and profane, acting in a tumultuous manner while he was patted down. Mr. Macke was then placed in the rear of my department issued patrol vehicle which is searched prior to and after transport, yielding negative for contraband.

Mr. Macke was then transported to the Bartow County Jail where he was turned over to jail staff without incident.

On Mr. Macke’s person prior to transport, a medium sized fixed blade knife was located and it was entered into evidence for safe keeping.

A warrant for Disorderly Conduct, was obtained and a copy of which is attached to this electronic case file. (CE0176523)
