On March 5th, 2025 at 2058 hours I was dispatched to [10 BLOCK] Madison Cir, Adairsville, GA 30103 in reference to a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, I spoke with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated she and her uncle, Micah Pittman, were in a physical argument. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated everything started at the dinner table when Micah told her to hold her cousin’s hand to say grace and she didn’t want to. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Micah told her to leave the table and go to her bedroom. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she left the dinner table went to the living room and got her phone before she went to her room. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated when she was in her room she was talking on the phone and Micah came in and told her to get off the phone and to give it to him. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she told Micah no because he doesn’t pay for her phone and Micah got upset.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Micah knocked the phone out of her hand after the two of them were tussling around for it and ended up cutting her left index finger. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated after her phone got knocked out of her hand, Micah held her down on the bed so she started to fight back with him and scratched the back of his neck. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated after she scratched Micah he hit her a couple of times in the face but doesn’t know if it was open-handed or closed-handed because she kept her eyes closed. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated she got a red mark on her right cheek and her nose started to bleed afterwards. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated afterwards Micah and his wife, [WITNESS #1], were mocking her telling her this is why no one wants you and being verbally mean towards her. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated Micah and [WITNESS #1] told her to pack her stuff because she was no longer welcome to stay at their house.

I spoke with Micah who stated everything started at the dinner table. Micah stated here recently [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has been disrespectful and wouldn’t listen. Micah stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was being disrespectful at the dinner table and he had enough of it, so he told her to go to her bedroom. Micah stated when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in her room he could hear her still being disrespectful and talking ugly on the phone with someone. Micah stated he went to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] bedroom and told her to give him her phone and she wouldn’t. Micah stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] told him he wasn’t going to get her phone so he went to go grab it and the two of them started wrestling over it. Micah stated he grabbed the phone out of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] hand and she started to fight him and she scratched the back of his neck. Micah stated he held [REDACTED BY AGENCY] down and did react to her scratching him by slapping her with an open hand strike. Micah stated afterward he left the room and went for a walk to calm down before he returned home. Micah stated he was in the process of taking [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to a local police department so another one of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] family members could come pick her up because he didn’t want her at his house anymore.

I spoke with [WITNESS #1] who stated that for the past couple of days, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has been really disrespectful and not minding her and Micah. [WITNESS #1] stated at dinner [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was being rude and Micah told her to leave and go to her bedroom. [WITNESS #1] stated when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] went to her room she was still being disrespectful and rude. [WITNESS #1] stated Micah went to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] room to take her cell phone to punish her and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] wouldn’t give it to Micah. [WITNESS #1] stated Micah went to grab the phone and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Micah started to wrestle over the phone. [WITNESS #1] stated once Micah had the phone [REDACTED BY AGENCY] got up and attacked Micah so he held her down on the bed and she stepped in between them and broke things up. [WITNESS #1] didn’t state if she observed Micah hit [REDACTED BY AGENCY] or [REDACTED BY AGENCY] scratched Micah because a lot was going on and she was only trying to break things up and separate the two. [WITNESS #1] stated she and Micah were in the process of getting [REDACTED BY AGENCY] belongings together to take her to a local police department, so she could be picked up by another family member so nothing escalated from there.

Micah and [WITNESS #1] stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has been staying with them for the past nine months and they are not her legal guardian. Micah stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] father lives on the west coast of the country and no one knows where her mother is. Micah and [WITNESS #1] stated once [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was abandoned by her mother they took her in. Due to Micah and [WITNESS #1] not being [REDACTED BY AGENCY] legal guardians DFCS was contacted.

I spoke with [WITNESS #2] with DFCS and advised her of the incident between Micah and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I advised [WITNESS #2] that Micah and [WITNESS #1] wanted to let [REDACTED BY AGENCY] go with another family member. I advised [WITNESS #2] that Micah and [WITNESS #1] stated [REDACTED BY AGENCY] mother, [REDACTED], has legal custody of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [WITNESS #2] was advised no one has been able to get in contact with [REDACTED] or even know where she is living. [WITNESS #2] advised me if she is unable to get in contact with [REDACTED] she would have to send out one of her DFCS employees to take [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in for emergency custody.

I spoke with a DFCS employee, [WITNESS #3], who arrived on scene shortly after talking with [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #3] was advised of the incident with Micah and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and the situation with Micah and [WITNESS #1] not being [REDACTED BY AGENCY] legal guardians by [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #3] spoke with all parties involved and since DFCS couldn’t get in touch with [REDACTED], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was taken into DFCS emergency custody.

Due to Micah’s statement that he already had [REDACTED BY AGENCY] held down on the bed before he struck her in the face with an open hand, Micah having defensive marks by [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] having offensive marks done by Micah, and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries matching her statement, Micah was placed under arrest in handcuffs to the rear. Micah was placed in the rear of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Bartow County Jail. Micah was turned over to the jail staff without further incident. Warrants for Micah’s arrest have been secured for cruelty in the 1st and battery, both under the Family Violence Act. Pictures were taken of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries on her right cheek and her left index finger, and a full picture of her face were taken.
