On Monday, February 24th, 2025 at approximately 0604 hours I was dispatched to [200 BLOCK] E Felton Rd, Cartersville, Georgia 30121 (Guest House Room [REDACTED]) in reference to a dispute.

Prior to my arrival into the area, Bartow Dispatch advised deputies the caller identified as [VICTIM #1] was stating a male identified as Michael Jones was kicking the caller’s door and was very intoxicated. [VICTIM #1] told Bartow Dispatch Michael was leaving the scene in a green Ford Explorer.

Deputies searched the parking lot for the green Ford Explorer. I located the green Ford Explorer in front of Room [REDACTED]. I observed the door to Room [REDACTED] to be open. I walked up to Room [REDACTED] and located a male who appeared to be intoxicated just standing in the room. Deputies asked the male if he had been kicking on a door and touching someone else’s car and the male said “no.” Deputies asked the male what was going on “over there.” The male told us they were having a conflict. I asked for the male to step outside of the room for officer safety so we could determine what had happened. The male walked outside of the room. I asked the male if he would let me pat him down for any weapons and the male told me I could pat him down. I patted the male down and found no weapons on his person.

I asked the male again what was going on. The male said he was having a conflict. I asked how the male knew [VICTIM #1]. The male said the two worked together. I asked the male what [VICTIM #1]’s name is. The male could not recall his name. I asked the male what the two of them were fighting about and the male said they were not fighting. I asked the male why he was trying to kick [VICTIM #1]’s door in and he said he wasn’t and they only had a disagreement. I asked the male if he hurt [VICTIM #1]’s car and the male said no.

I asked the male where his ID was. The male said his ID was inside of his room. I asked the male if he minded that I grabbed his ID. The male said he did mind that I grabbed his ID. I asked the male for his name and the male said he did nothing wrong. I asked again for his name. The male only provided me with Michael at first and said he didn’t have to tell us the rest. Deputies told the male he would need to identify himself or he would be going into handcuffs. Michael provided us with the rest of his name and his birthdate. Michael was ran through NCIC/GCIC and returned with no active warrants. Another deputy, Deputy C. Jones, returned from speaking with [VICTIM #1] and advised there was no damage but [VICTIM #1] wished to press charges. Deputy Jones advised us that Michael called [VICTIM #1] while he was standing there and was saying profanities over the phone to [VICTIM #1]. Michael denied doing this however Deputy Jones witnessed him doing it.

I went and spoke with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised there was no damage to his door or car. [VICTIM #1] advised Michael sent him a message yesterday and [VICTIM #1] advised Michael he was with his girlfriend at this time. [VICTIM #1] said last night he came home and Michael kept calling him explicit names and was drunk while hitting the door. [VICTIM #1] said he told Michael to talk to him when he is sober. [VICTIM #1] said this morning at approximately 0600 hours he was sleeping when he heard a loud boom on the door that woke him from his sleep. [VICTIM #1] said Michael yelled at him to “Open the door you pu*sy a*s b*tch! Come on out here so I can fight you!” [VICTIM #1] said he told Michael to chill out because he did not know what his problem was. [VICTIM #1] said Michael kicked his door again. [VICTIM #1] told Michael he was calling law enforcement. [VICTIM #1] said Michael went to his car and pulled on the door handle but the car was locked. [VICTIM #1] said Michael slipped or fell down next to his car. Michael then left the area.

[WITNESS #1] who lives in the apartment next to [VICTIM #1] (Room [REDACTED]) stated he heard Michael come over last night at approximately 2130-2200 hours beating on the door and yelling out profanities but eventually went away after a couple of minutes. [WITNESS #1] said this morning a short time ago Michael came back to the door and started hitting the door even louder than he did last night. [WITNESS #1] said he overheard Michael saying “Come on out here! Come on out here you pu*sy!” [WITNESS #1] was asked if Michael was gesturing for [VICTIM #1] to come outside and fight him and he said yes.

I returned to Michael and asked for him to place his hands behind his back. Michael complied and was placed into my department issued handcuffs. The handcuffs were placed in the rear, double locked, and checked for proper fit. Michael was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Simple Assault. Michael was escorted to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center where he was turned over to the jail staff without incident.

A state warrant for Disorderly Conduct and a state warrant for Simple Assault were signed and sworn out for Michael.
