[NARRATIVE #1 on July 21, 2026]
On Tuesday, July 21, I, Officer J. Silvers of the Adairsville Police Department Uniform Patrol Division, heard dispatch radio Officer Ware to a possible domestic disturbance at the Red Lion Inn, located at 1 Kortlyn Place NW. I then began responding to the location. A short time later, dispatch advised that the involved individuals were now at Hardee’s.
I was in close proximity to Hardee’s and arrived shortly thereafter. Upon arrival, I observed a female, later identified as Samantha Rose Schunior, chasing another female, later identified as [VICTIM #1], across the parking lot. I activated my patrol vehicle’s emergency lights and siren, exited my vehicle, and instructed Ms. Schunior to step back and away from Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I directed Ms. Schunior to move back to the curb, and she complied. I then instructed her to turn around and placed her in handcuffs. I asked Officer Ware to secure Ms. Schunior while I returned to my patrol vehicle to deactivate my siren.
I then made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1] and asked if she knew the other party. She replied that Ms. Schunior was her ex. I then asked if she had been struck or assaulted, and she stated that she had not and that Ms. Schunior had only been yelling at her.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she intended to get Ms. Schunior a room at the Red Lion Inn. However, she was denied a room because they were arguing. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that this caused the verbal argument, which escalated into Ms. Schunior chasing her from the motel to the nearby Hardee’s parking lot.
I then obtained identifying information and a statement from Ms. [WITNESS #1], an employee at Hardee’s. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that she observed the two females arguing inside the restaurant and again outside. She advised that she did not witness any physical altercation.
Officer Ware then transported Ms. Schunior to the Bartow County Jail. I then returned to the Red Lion Inn and spoke with the motel clerk, Ms. [WITNESS #2], to obtain her identifying information for this report.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 24, 2026]
On July 24, 2026, at approximately 2000 hours, I, Officer T. Ware, was placing my water bottle on the front passenger seat of my patrol vehicle when I observed an orange iPhone with a cracked screen, a black BlueMax butane lighter, and a scratched Lucky 7’s lottery ticket on the front passenger side floorboard.
I then realized these items had remained in my patrol vehicle after I transported Samantha Rose Schunior to the Bartow County Jail. I had forgotten that the items were on the passenger side floorboard at the time of the transport.
I attempted to contact Ms. Schunior’s friend to retrieve the items but was unsuccessful. The items were then secured in an evidence bag and placed in Locker #008 at the Adairsville Police Department for safekeeping.
