On Thursday, March 13th, 2025, at 2000 hours, I was dispatched to [1000 BLOCK] Spring Place Road, in White, Georgia, in reference to child abuse in progress.
Upon arrival, I spoke with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] said that Sarita Jasso was babysitting his child, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] while he was at work. He said that he discovered that Sarita had slapped [REDACTED BY AGENCY] on his face. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did have a visible red mark on the right side of his face that appeared to be in the shape of a hand print. A photograph of the injury was taken.
I then spoke with Sarita. Sarita said that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] has been potty training for quite some time and has had issues. She said that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had defecated on the floor and began playing with his feces. She said that she became upset, lost control, and slapped him on the face.
Being that the physical altercation that occurred was out of anger rather than out of discipline, the slap was completely unreasonable for the circumstances.
It was discovered while on scene that [WITNESS #1] and Sarita do have a child together, which is a different child than [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and that they have lived together.
Due to the physical marks on [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Sarita’s own statement that she slapped [REDACTED BY AGENCY] because she lost control, Sarita was placed under arrest for Cruelty in the 1st degree and transported to The Bartow County Detention Center without incident.
