On Wednesday, 8/19/2026, at approximately 1032 hours, I was dispatched to Redtop Middle School in reference to a domestic dispute that occurred at [REDACTED].

Upon arrival, I met with juvenile [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated that her mother, Tania Jimenez, had struck her on the arms with a belt due to a disagreement about [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s phone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that being in a verbal altercation with Tania on a Sunday was a regular occurrence for the two parties, but she had not been physically hit by her during these disagreements.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the altercation began at Walmart at approximately 1650, where Tania smacked her across the face with an open hand. I observed a superficial wound on [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s jawline that appeared to be a scratch from either a ring or fingernails. [REDACTED] advised that she had already made forensic interview arrangements with the Children’s Advocate Center for this same day, and I contacted the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division with the information.

[REDACTED] was able to contact [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s father, [WITNESS #1], who stated he was unaware of any altercation between [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and Tania. [WITNESS #1] stated that he came home at approximately 1800 hours on the date of this incident, when [REDACTED BY AGENCY] greeted him quickly and was not seen by him for the rest of the night. [WITNESS #1] stated that he did not observe any of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s injuries at that time.

Metro EMS arrived on scene to evaluate [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and medically cleared her.

[REDACTED] was then able to make contact with Tania, who arrived on scene approximately 30 minutes later. Tania made statements to [REDACTED] that she did not know how [REDACTED BY AGENCY] received the mark on her face, but did strike her with a belt on her arms, causing the marks that I observed. Tania was placed in handcuffs to the rear, which were checked for fit and double locked. I conducted a backside hand patdown on Tania in front of my dash camera before securing her in the back seat of my patrol vehicle.

I then took temporary custody of [REDACTED BY AGENCY] after speaking with Sgt P. Abernathy. I advised Sgt Abernathy that DFCS had already scheduled the forensic interview and that I had another unit on scene to transport her. Sgt Abernathy advised that he would have an investigator at the CAC to meet with the transporting unit.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was transported to the Children’s Advocate Center by Deputy R. Chapman, where she was turned over to Investigator K. Ventura.

Tania was transported to the Bartow County Jail, where she was turned over to jail staff without incident.
