On October 24, 2025 I Officer B.L Nesbitt #012 with the Adairsville Police Department Uniform Patrol Division responded to the area of Poplar Springs and Martin Luther King dr in Adairsville, Ga 30103 in reference to 2 suspicious white male subjects with dark clothing hitting mailboxes and signs in the area.
I arrived in the area of Poplar Springs and Adairsville Pleasant Valley Road when I observed a male subject wearing dark clothing. I rolled my window down after activating my blue lights and stated “come here” the male subject then immediately turned the opposite direction and began running on foot towards Poplar Food Mart. I followed the subject in my patrol vehicle to [REDACTED BY AGENCY]nd exited the vehicle and began giving loud verbal commands ordering the suspect to stop. The suspect stopped and then began walking towards the residence so I grabbed him and began giving more verbal commands to stop resisting in which he did not comply. The suspect continued resisting by pulling away and attempting to flee again so i forcefully shoved him into the hood of my patrol vehicle and was eventually able to get him into handcuffs.
Once he was placed in handcuff’s I checked for proper fit and then checked him for any possible weapons. I then secured him in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle. The male suspect was later identified as Taylynn Bagley. Taylyn was read his miranda warning then he agreed to answer questions in which he stated he was walking around with his friend [JUVENILE #1] and they were hitting street signs with their fist. I advised Taylynn that our complainant stated they were hitting mailboxes and causing property damage in which he stated he did not strike any mailboxes but his friend [JUVENILE #1] did.
I then went to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and made contact with [REDACTED] who is the mother of [JUVENILE #1] in which she gave us permission to speak with [JUVENILE #1]. [REDACTED] seemed very hesitant but stated [JUVENILE #1] was inside with her all day. [JUVENILE #1] stated he was at home and doesn’t talk to Taylynn much but they had talked earlier in the day.
I transported Taylynn to the Bartow County Jail without further incident and he was charged with Obstruction and Disorderly Conduct. Due to conflicting statements and lack of evidence I did not charge anyone in reference to the damaged mailbox.
[End of Narrative]
