On June 3rd, 2026, around 1850 hours, I responded to [60 BLOCK] Hannon Way. The caller stated to Bartow County Emergency Services about an assault that took place at her residence. The caller stated that one male was knocked out and was lying in the yard. I arrived on scene with Officer Cox, and I conducted my investigation.

I met with a male victim who was identified as Victim. Victim had several substantial injuries to his face. I noticed significant swelling on the left side of Mr. [VICTIM #1]’s face, near his eye. Another injury to Victim was a deep cut to his bottom lip. Victim was bleeding heavily from all of his injuries.

I asked Victim what occurred to him. He stated a male identified as Timothy Jackson drove over to one of his family members’ homes. Victim advised that Mr. Jackson told him to come over to his car, saying he wanted to talk to him. Victim stated that while he was walking up to the car, Mr. Jackson exited his vehicle and began punching him in the face. Victim advised that he tried to fight back and defend himself, but was unable to. Victim advised that he was knocked out during the assault and doesn’t remember much.

I spoke to the homeowner at [60 BLOCK] Hannon Way who stated Victim was over at her house visiting. She stated he was sitting on the front porch with other members of the family. She stated she was inside of her residence when someone came into the house. Homeowner advised that someone told her Victim was being assaulted on the front lawn. She advised that she ran outside and observed Victim, unconscious, lying on the ground. Homeowner advised that Victim was not responding to her and other family members while trying to wake him up.

Homeowner advised that she had video footage of the assault recorded on a doorbell camera. Homeowner allowed me to watch the footage to see the assault. In the video, I observed Victim walking down to the end of the driveway. A black male exited a car and began to punch Victim over and over again. Part of the video was blocked by an unknown male watching the assault. Near the end of the video, I was able to see Victim fall to the ground and Mr. Jackson continuing to punch him in the face. Homeowner stated that the male who assaulted Victim was Timothy Jackson.

Victim and Homeowner both advised that Mr. Jackson lived at the Alexandria Apartments located at [300 BLOCK] Old Mill Road. They advised that he live with his girlfriend. I was also advised that Mr. Jackson was driving Girlfriend’s car, which is a black BMW convertible. In the video shown to me by Homeowner, I was able to see that the car was a black BMW convertible.

When Victim was done being seen by Metro EMTs, I followed him to the ambulance. I asked Victim why Mr. Jackson showed up at this location and assaulted him. Victim advised that he and Mr. Jackson work with each other. He stated he is a close friend of Girlfriend, Mr. Jackson’s girlfriend. He stated at their job, Mr. Jackson has been kissing and hugging a new girl. Victim stated he called Girlfriend’ father and told him Mr. Jackson was cheating on his daughter.

Victim stated that Mr. Jackson found out and was upset with him. He stated Mr. Jackson knows he hangs around Homeowner’s residence and went driving around to find him. Victim also stated that when Mr. Jackson got out of his car, he noticed Mr. Jackson was wearing brass knuckles. He stated he was hit in the face with the object held in Mr. Jackson’s hand.

Later, an entry was made into apartment, and Mr. Jackson was taken into custody. He was arrested on the scene. I placed him in the rear of my patrol vehicle and read him his Miranda Warning. I asked if he would be willing to speak with me. Mr. Jackson stated he would.

Mr. Jackson stated Victim had told lies about him cheating on his girlfriend. He stated Victim had called his girlfriend’s father and accused him of cheating with a new girl at work. He stated he got in his car and drove over to [60 BLOCK] Hannon Way. He advised that he saw Victim sitting on the porch. He stated he got out of his car and confronted Victim about the lie he had told. Mr. Jackson advised that he and Victim had a fight, and then he left. I asked during the fight if he had brass knuckles. He stated he does not own a pair of brass knuckles.

I stated Victim had told me during the fight that he had witnessed him with brass knuckles in his hand. Mr. Jackson stated it was probably the rings he wears. I asked if he was wearing any during the fight. He stated he was not. I then transported Mr. Jackson to the Bartow County Jail, where he was turned over to intake personnel.

While at the jail, a search warrant was being conducted at apartment. During the search, a loaded black Smith & Wesson M&P 40 handgun was located on a bedside table next to Mr. Jackson’s wallet. Mr. Jackson is a convicted felon on probation. The pistol was collected from the scene and taken to the Cartersville Police Department. The pistol was placed into evidence. While at the Cartersville Police Department, I secured another warrant against Mr. Jackson. He was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The video of the assault, along with photos of Victim, was uploaded into Polaris.
