On Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at approximately 1638 hours, I (Deputy Z. Robinson #2541) along with FTO Corporal M. Ha #2107, responded to [2100 BLOCK] Adams Avenue in reference to a person shot. Prior to arrival, there was a shot spotter call at the location for 13 shots fired. Neighbors also called into dispatch stated that they heard multiple high powered rifle shots coming from the area.
Upon our arrival, we observed that one of the juvenile [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had been grazed by a bullet fragment by her cheek. EMS arrived on scene and treated her on scene. The juveniles advised that they have no idea why the house got shot at. One of the juveniles advised that she saw four guys last seen wearing all black hanging out near the side of the house. She stated that the suspect waited until [REDACTED] left the house and they started shooting. One of the bullets flew inside the house and grazed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in the cheek area. The suspects got into possibly a black Honda with Florida tag.
We had contacted Intelligence unit to see if they can find a vehicle possibly matching the description. Intel units advised that there was no Honda with Florida tag in the area, however, they found several vehicles with a Florida tag that was a black in color Nissan. We notified Gang Investigator. Investigator Sergeant T. Gray arrived on scene with Investigator E. Hogan. Lt. D. Inzar also arrived on scene.
The mother [REDACTED] arrived on scene and was in an uproar. She was demanding answers from [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] would not say anything to her. [REDACTED] advised that it may have been to do something with the firearm that they boys had that she reported back in April (case number 2025-35260). She stated that the boys had a 380 revolver hidden in their room. We observed multiple high powered rifle shots around the house. We were able to find two bullet fragments and they were both turned into the crime lab. The mother advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in contact with someone using a possibly a text now number of [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Other responding deputies and us attempted to find shell casings utilizing the shot spotter. However, we were unable to find any spent shell casings at the spots of the shot spotter.
Sergeant Gray was able to get further information. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had possession of a firearm and had posted a picture of him with the firearm that was possibly stolen from the suspects. The suspects and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were exchanging words with the number mentioned above. The case will be turned over to Sergeant Gray and Gang investigation.
