On April 15, 2025, Dep. Keen and I Dep. Mason were dispatched to [3600 BLOCK] Mercer University (Madison on Mercer apt #[REDACTED]) in reference to a domestic dispute. The complainant [VICTIM #1] informed us that her child’s father Aveion Harris asked her why she changed the password on her phone, the complainant said she grabbed her phone and tried to guard it while putting the new password in. The complainant said Aveion kept walking up on her, so she pushed him. The complainant said that’s when Aveion pushed her to the floor, punched her and then started choking her. The complainant stated she felt like she was about to pass out.

EMS was requested and responded to the scene, but the complainant stated she did not want to go to the hospital for treatment. The complainant stated her throat still feels sore, but she feels like she will be okay. During the physical altercation the complainant stated she and Aveion’s daughter was in the room with them in her crib. The complainant also informed me that her siblings were present in the house and ran into the room to try to get Aveion off of her.

The complainant and her siblings informed me that Avieon left but returned brandishing a weapon at their back door. The complainant stated Aveion said, “I will shoot this b*tch up right now.” The complainant does have a camera on the back porch, but she stated her mother is the only one who can access the footage and she’s in class right now. I asked the complainant to send me the footage. Footage was not received at the time of this report. The complainant also informed me that this isn’t the first time Aveion has threatened to have her mom’s house shot up. The complainant was given a case card in reference to this case. Warrants for Aveion Harris were submitted for Terroristic Threats and Aggravated assault.

I was met in the parking lot by the community manager who informed me that this apartment has been a disturbance to the entire neighborhood. The mother/tenant [REDACTED] is never home and leaves the children home unattended. The manager is in the process of eviction due to threats and assaults made to other tenants but the individuals who live at #[REDACTED].
