On Thursday November 27, 2025 around 1741 hours, I Lt. Smith responded to 777 Hemlock St. (Atrium Navicent Health Children’s Hospital) in reference to a stabbing that occurred at [500 BLOCK] Grenada Terrace. Upon arrival I met with [VICTIM #1].

[VICTIM #1] was hysterically crying when I first spoke to her. After she calmed down she stated she was in the kitchen preparing everyone’s Thanksgiving meal while the rest of the family was in the living room. She stated her stepson [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had gotten into a fight with another sibling and as punishment he was doing squats against the wall. She then stated she heard a commotion coming from the living room, then [REDACTED BY AGENCY] walked into the kitchen bleeding from the head.

[VICTIM #1] immediately rendered aid to stop the bleeding. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] informed her that his father (Brandon Williams) had thrown a knife at him while he was doing his squats, cutting him in the right side back part of his head. She then stated that Brandon has gotten violent with her and the children in the past, and she did have a protection order against him but it has expired. [VICTIM #1] then stated she told one of the children to get some Vaseline to try and stop the bleeding, but it did not. That is when she stated to Brandon she needed to take him to the hospital for treatment. She stated Brandon told her that she was not going to take him to the hospital in his truck. She stated she then gathered all of the children to leave for the hospital. She then stated she was advised by one of the children that Brandon made the statement after he threw the knife that it was supposed to go in [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s eye.

I spoke to Investigator Medina on this incident. He advised me that he would set up a crescent house interview at a later time. I then took 3 warrants for the arrest of Brandon Williams. One count of Aggravated Assault F.V., one count of Cruelty to Children in the first degree F.V., and four counts of Cruelty to Children in the third degree F.V.

Sgt. C. Lewis, Deputy Raines, and I then attempted to serve the warrants on Brandon at his residence on Grenada Terrace. After several knocks at the door nobody answered and both the front and back doors were locked.

Around 2100 hours I was contacted by dispatch and advised the hospital had called the Sheriff’s Office back to inform that Brandon is calling [VICTIM #1] making threats. Once back at the hospital [VICTIM #1] stated that Brandon is having his family member from Florida call to check on the children. Brandon had also called [VICTIM #1] asking her who told on him because the police were knocking on his door. [VICTIM #1] stated that she suspect his family may try to get him back to the Miami area.

[VICTIM #1] was provided with a Crime Victims case brochure and instructed to contact the Crisis Line and Safe House to make arrangements for her and the children.
